Abstract: A lock system for access authorization in a motor vehicle, having a first device which has at least two states and is embodied as a control device, and having an associated second device which is embodied in the manner of an electronic key, an ID signal transmitter, a chip card or the like. The two devices have transmitters and/or receivers for electromagnetic signals. At least one of the signals transmitted between the second device and the first device is an encoded operating signal for authenticating the second device, with the result that after a positive evaluation of the transmitted operating signal when the second device is authorized it is possible to bring about a change in the state of the first device.

Abstract: A process and an apparatus for carrying out the process for the biological treatment of organic wastes. In order to achieve more effective treatment of the material, in a horizontally oriented reactor, a circulating agitator is disposed which causes circulation of the material with simultaneous advance. The material is leached via spray arms, with simultaneous intense aeration of the material to generate an aerobic biological degradation process.

Abstract: A sorting installation for useful products is proposed, which serves in particular to sort out reusable packaging materials. In order to achieve the sorting-out of individual types of packaging with maximum efficiency, the sorting-out of individual monofractions is undertaken, on one or more manual sorting sections, onto a collector conveyor belt which is connected in parallel, the content of which, after sorting-out is complete, is introduced into an associated bunker.

Abstract: A sorting installation for separating a first type of articles from a second type of articles fed mixed to the sorting installation. The articles of the first type are relatively light and substantially two-dimensional, while the articles of the second type are relatively heavy and substantially three-dimensional. There is provided an article-supporting surface which receives the first and second type of articles in a generally mixed state and which has a length dimension and a width dimension perpendicular to the length dimension. The article-supporting surface is inclined to the horizontal in a direction parallel to the width dimension for causing primarily the second type of articles to move by gravity downwardly on the article-supporting surface transversely to the length dimension and laterally off the article-supporting surface.

The article-supporting surface slopes upwardly as viewed in a direction of travel. There is further provided a vibrator connected to the belt conveyor for enhancing movement by gravity of the second type of articles on the article-supporting surface.

Abstract: A screening apparatus, particularly for screening valuable materials, domestic garbage, industrial garbage, bulky garbage, dry garbage, wet garbage, compost and/or problematic and dangerous materials, including inclined, open-ended bars capable of oscillatory movement arranged in a transport direction and forming at least two bar grating screens forming a stepped arrangement of bar grating screens with one screen located behind the other in the transport direction. The bar grating screens have bars that are tapered in the transport direction. The apparatus further includes an inlet portion and a preliminary distributor path for feeding in material upstream of at least the upper bar grating screen of the stepped arrangement. A screen frame accommodates the bar grating screens, the inlet portion and the preliminary distributor path. The inlet portion and the preliminary distributor path comprise approximately one third of the entire length of the screening apparatus.
