  • Publication number: 20080272612
Abstract: A cover device for vehicle glazing (12), especially a transparent sliding roof cover (12), has a flat, flexible darkening element (12) which can be drawn over the vehicle glazing (12). On its end which is the front in the drawing direction, the darkening element (20) is connected to a pull element (22) which extends transversely relative to the drawing direction. On its end which faces away from the pull element (22), the darkening element (20) is joined permanently to the vehicle. Moreover, the darkening element (20) is deflected over a tension element (26) which extends transversely to the drawing direction and which is pretensioned against the drawing direction. To prevent rippling and the formation of folds, the darkening element (20) is guided at its side edge regions on the tension element (26).

  • Publication number: 20080144158
Abstract: An electric window dimming device for reducing the light transmission of a window for an aircraft. The electric window dimming device comprises a capacitance. The electric window dimming device is adapted for being connected to the capacitance and to a primary energy source that provides energy. If the primary energy source fails, the capacitance supplies energy for electric window dimming device.

  • Publication number: 20080036245
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof with an at least partially transparent roof section (10) and a shade arrangement (12) located underneath the transparent roof section. In one of three embodiments, with two take-up shafts (16, 18) located in succession in the lengthwise direction of the roof and a length of shade (14) which extends in between, and the front end of the length of shade can be taken up onto the front take-up shaft and the back end onto the rear take-up shaft, the two take-up shafts each being pre-tensioned in the take-up direction, the two take-up shafts being movable along one laterally arranged guide in the lengthwise direction of the roof, and there being a common drive (70, 72, 74, 76) in order to move the take-up shafts (16, 18) in opposite directions toward one another in the lengthwise direction of the roof.

  • Publication number: 20080021636
Abstract: A landmark information system in an aircraft, by which landmark information system data relating to informing, instructing and entertaining passengers may be visually presented. An aircraft equipped with a landmark information system is also provided. The landmark information system comprises an aircraft window with at least one pane and a control unit. The at least one pane is coated with a translucent display that is coupled to the control unit, which, for the purpose of presenting information, is equipped to supply electrical current in a targeted manner to the display. Furthermore, the landmark information system comprises a landmark determination device which may provide geographic data relating to landmarks, for presentation on the translucent display.

  • Publication number: 20070278818
Abstract: This arrangement relates to an operating and control means for a shade arrangement, especially for a vehicle roof with a transparent roof surface, the shade arrangement comprising at least one shade with a shade roller and a shade fabric which can be unrolled therefrom by means of an electric actuator against the forms of a return spring assigned to the shade roller, and the shade roller with entrainment of the shade fabric being movable in side guide rails in order to move the shade surface formed by the unrolled shade fabric. As claimed in the invention, the operating means for this shade arrangement comprises a first switch arrangement (56) for setting the size of the shading surface formed by the shade fabric by taking up and unrolling the shade fabric, and a second switch arrangement (58) for moving the shading surface as a whole without changing its size.
