  • Publication number: 20120174697
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle with a control device (accelerator pedal 11), which is to be actuated by an operator and has an at least indirect influence on the torque, the acceleration or the fuel delivery rate of an engine, wherein the control device can be actuated against the force of at least one return means (16, 18). According to the invention a return means (18) having an adjustable force is provided.

  • Patent number: 5684345
Abstract: A single phase induction motor for driving a high pressure cleaning device. The induction motor has a stator (1) with a drive shaft (2) and a rotor (4) which is located on the shaft (2). High pressure pump (3) of the high pressure cleaning device is driven by the shaft (2). A muscle-powered starting aid (5, 18) is used to activate an on-off switch (11) of the single phase induction motor. Alternatively, the on-off switch (11) can be activated independently of the starting aid (5, 18) or via an electrical starting aid (B). In accordance with preferred embodiments, the muscle-powered starting aid can be a rope pull starter (5) or a kickstarter (18) and may act directly on the shaft (2) or via a transmission.

  • Patent number: 5667141
Abstract: A high pressure cleaning means is described with a preferably portable housing having a high pressure pump (6) and an electric motor drive (7) for the high pressure pump (6), the motor drive having an electric drive motor (8) with a drive shaft (9) connected to the high pressure pump (6). The motor drive (7) has at least a second electric drive motor (11) and the electric motors (8, 11, 12) of motor drive (7) are coupled to one another so as to drive the high pressure pump (6) jointly. The use of universal motors as the electric drive motors (8, 11, 12) is especially advantageous. The motor arrangement is also applicable to hand saws, water pumps, shredders, vacuums (wet/dry vacuums, leaf vacuums) and various other assemblies.

  • Patent number: 5226650
Abstract: A tennis racket with a handle (4), preferably wrapped with a grip strip (3), which improves training of gripping techniques through the use of a sensor (6) that is incorporated into the handle (4), by which it is possible to measure the gripping force with which the hand of a tennis player wielding the tennis racket grips handle (4). Sensor (6) is connected to an electronic evaluation circuit (7) which is integrated into the handle, so that an indicator signal, especially an acoustic indicator signal, is caused to be emitted by the evaluation circuit (7) when a determined preadjustable limiting value or different limiting values of the gripping force is reached.

  • Patent number: 4948350
Abstract: A hose pump with a pump casing (1) has a hose (2) running in a closed manner through it. The hose (2) rests on a support wall (3) of the pump casing (1) and compression elements (4, 5) squeeze-off the hose (2) in at least two places. A drive (6) for the movement of the compression elements (4, 5) becomes considerably more economical because the hose (2) is located between the support wall (3) and compression plate (9) and is sharply bent around an end of compression plate (9) that serves as the first compression element (4) with a bend of about 180.degree., and the second compression element (5) is placed opposite the support wall (3) on the other end of compression plate (9). The compression plate (9) and second compression element (5) can be moved back and forth by the drive (6) between a first pump position (I) and second pump position (II), the second compression element (5) being further from support wall (3) in the first pump position (I) than in the second pump position (II).

  • Patent number: 4880166
Abstract: A valve pistol for a high pressure cleaning device with a pistol casing (10), a valve (17) with a stopper element (25) placed in the pistol casing (10), pipe sections (14, 15) for fluid supply to and discharge from said valve located in the pistol casing (10), a hand lever (11) supported in the pistol casing (10) and acting on the stopper element (25) of valve (17), and in which both pipe sections (14, 15) are placed at an angle to each other, preferably an obtuse angle, is considerably simplified structurally and simultaneously improved with respect to safety and handling by both pipe sections (14, 15) being constructed as one piece angular pipe (13). A valve (17) is placed in the interior of a pipe section (14 or 15), preferably in the fluid supply pipe section (14), and one of the pipe sections (14 or 15) has an opening (23) for the passage of an actuation element (24 ) for the stopper element (25) of the valve (17).

  • Patent number: 4824335
Abstract: In a high pressure pump (1) for liquids or gases with a drive unit (2) and a pair of pump units (3) which are connected by a drive element (4) to a drive shaft driven by a motor (6), a considerable simplification in the sense of large scale production with the lowest possible costs is achieved in that each pump unit (3) exhibits its own closed casing, separate from the drive unit (2), the casing has an inlet (8), an outlet (9), and a tight duct through which a portion of a piston, e.g., at least its piston rod, extends, the piston rods of the pump's pistons are connected to one another by a power transmission element (5) of the drive unit (2), and a solid, inherently stable supporting plate is provided, by way of which at least the casings of the pump units (3) and the drive unit (2) are fixed relative to one another.
