  • Patent number: 5507195
Abstract: A change-speed gearbox with a constant mesh gear and a plurality of gear stages non-geometrically graduated gear ratios is a single-range gearbox which forms a member of a gearbox series to which there belongs a multi-speed gearbox formed by expanding the single-range gearbox a splitter group using identical gear stages as drive connections between the layshaft and the output shaft.

  • Patent number: 5351569
Abstract: A change-speed gearbox is arranged such that two gear stages (constant mesh gears) are used between an input shaft and a parallel countershaft, and one gear stage is used between the countershaft and a parallel output shaft. A gearbox range with at least three gearbox types with different permissible input torques is obtainable in that two of the three gear stages have a step-up transmission ratio so that the total transmission ratio becomes lower from gearbox type to gearbox type as the input torque increases.
