  • Publication number: 20150326075
Abstract: A fuel pump with an electric motor having a stator, a shaft, and a rotor arranged on the shaft. The rotor is a magnetic rotor, and an impeller is driven by the shaft, which impeller is rotatably mounted in a pump housing. The rotor is made from a laminated core on which a plastic-bonded magnetic material is sprayed. On at least one side, the laminated core has a greater axial length than the plastic-bonded magnetic material.

  • Patent number: 7362029
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel pump which comprises an electric motor. Said electric motor is provided with carbon brushes (11) that cover a plurality of lamellae (17) of a collector (9). Grooves (7) in an armature (6) include sections of a plurality of coils (8), thereby particularly reducing erosion of the carbon brushes (11).

  • Publication number: 20070104591
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel pump comprising an electromotive drive that has a commutator (20) and carbon brushes (24, 26) that brush alternately against commutator segments (16, 18) when the commutator (20) is rotated. The aim of the invention is to improve the corrosion resistance and to clean the carbon brushes (24, 26). To achiever this, the commutator segments (16, 18) contain graphite and at least one commutator segment (16, 18) contains graphite and an admixture of a material (30) that has a greater hardness than graphite.

  • Patent number: 6759773
Abstract: An electronically controlled electric motor has, as position sensors (6), coils (5) which are arranged in a stator (2) and opposite permanent magnets (4) of a rotor (3). The coils (5) are produced integrally with connecting leads (7). This allows the electric motor to be used in an environment with solvents. Furthermore, the electric motor is of a particularly inexpensive design.

  • Patent number: 6335581
Abstract: In an electric motor, through which fuel flows, an armature core bundle of a rotor has a hose-like casing. This hose-like casing is manufactured from a fuel-resistant material and protects the armature core bundle against corrosion. An unbalance in the rotor due to the hose shape of the casing is kept particularly low.
