Abstract: A noise barrier system composed of a base and a transparent superstructure. A support holds at least two adjacent transparent noise barrier elements and includes a point-fastening of the transparent noise barrier element. A position of upper holding points of the transparent superstructure is arranged at a height of from 70 to 90% of a total height of the transparent noise barrier element and at a distance of from 3 to 50 times a thickness of the transparent noise barrier element from a vertical edge. An upper side of the transparent noise barrier element has a flexure, an angle of the flexure being from 30° to 90° from vertical, and a width of an angled region being from 5 cm to 50 cm, and an entire length of a lower side of the sheet is secured within a groove-shaped depression.

Abstract: The invention relates to polymerisable compositions obtained as follows: a) reaction of A) between 0.5 and 5 parts by weight of at least one silicon compound of formula (I): SimR1nR2oOrXs with B) between 0.01 and 2.0 parts by weight of water C) between 0 and 4.0 parts by weight of at least one acid; and b) subsequent addition of D) between 0.5 and 5 parts by weight of at least one (meth)acrylate of formula (II), E) between 98.99 and 55 parts by weight of at least one polymerisable, ethylenically unsaturated monomer, different from D) and F) between 0 and 30 parts by weight of at least one polymer and/or copolymer, which is obtained by the polymerisation or copolymerisation of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer E). The groups R1, R2, R3, R4 and X, in addition to the indices m, n, o, r and s are defined as cited in the description. The invention also relates to polymers and laminate glass obtained from the composition, to a method for producing laminate glass and to the use thereof.

Abstract: Oblique web multiple surface panel boards are disclosed made of aromatic polycarbonates (PC), consisting of at least two boards arranged parallel to one another at a given distance apart and joined together by webs arranged between them, one portion of the webs connecting the upper and lower board in zigzag formation, viewed in cross-section, while the other portion of the webs is attached to the upper or lower board at the junctions of the oblique webs and extends perpendicularly towards the opposite board.
