Abstract: An electric canned coolant pump includes a drive motor comprising a split case provided as a separating can which separates a wet chamber comprising a motor rotor from a dry chamber comprising a motor stator. The separating can comprises a separating can form-fit structure. A Hall sensor is arranged on the separating can. The Hall sensor detects a position of the motor rotor in the dry chamber. The Hall sensor comprises a sensor head and Hall sensor electric connecting lines. A positioning element comprises positioning element electric connecting lines which are connected with the corresponding Hall sensor electric connecting lines. The positioning element electric connecting lines comprise a connecting body comprising a connecting body form-fit structure. • Patent number: 6850018
Abstract: The invention rests on the idea that the information for controlling an EC-motor is taken from the adjustment or position of the control unit, which can be ascertained by means of a position indicator, such as a potentiometer, Hall indicator, etc. The current pattern for the EC-motor can thereafter, for example, be determined in a microcomputer disposed in the motor control for the control unit, without the motor having a rotor position determination.

  • Patent number: 6784584
Abstract: The electric motor comprises an internal rotor and an external stator with stator windings. The rotor comprises several permanently magnetic pole shoes. The stator windings are supported by stator pole shanks comprising, radially inside, stator pole shoes facing the rotor pole shoes. Via a short circuit bridge, the stator pole shoes are connected with the adjacent stator pole shoes so that all the stator pole shanks are integrally formed with each other. Radially outside, the stator pole shanks and stator pole shoes are connected with each other only by a separate yoke ring set thereon. All the windings are wound from radially outside with one single continuous winding wire when the yoke ring has been removed.

  • Patent number: 6296458
Abstract: An electric fuel pump for an internal combustion engine in which a pump mechanism is provided in a housing for pumping fuel from an inlet to an outlet of the housing. A d.c. motor in the housing is drivingly connected to the pump mechanism, the fuel flowing through the housing past the motor to the outlet. A module including a commutation circuit for the d.c. motor is sealed in the housing from the fuel which flows therearound and cools the module. The module is constructed with an injection-molded casing around the circuit which is connected to stator windings of the motor and to an outside power supply.

  • Patent number: 5785013
Abstract: A pump-motor unit for pumping a coolant for cooling an internal combustion engine in which a centrifugal pump is connected to an electrically commutated d.c. motor to be driven thereby. A power electronic circuit is mounted on a plate and installed in the unit in connection with the d.c. motor to operate the motor in accordance with signals delivered to said power electronic circuit from an external power source. A cooling body is supported in the unit to cool the power electronic circuit by transferring heat from the power electronic circuit to the coolant. The centrifugal pump and the d.c. motor are interconnected through the cooling body.
