Abstract: A device for printing on hollow bodies has a plurality of printing units each having a printing cylinder. At least one of the printing units has an inking unit having a chambered doctor blade that provides printing ink. The chambered doctor blade system has at least one ink pan and a doctor blade holder in a single assembly. The single assembly of the chambered doctor blade system is retained in the inking unit only on one side. The assembly of the chambered doctor blade system forms a cantilever arm on a side frame of the inking unit. The assembly of the chambered doctor blade system can be moved axially parallel to the anilox roller and can be removed from the inking unit by that movement.

Abstract: A packing or dressing is mounted on a cylinder of a rotary printing press. A dressing suspension leg, situated at an end of the dressing extending in the production direction of rotation of the cylinder, is positioned in an opening in the surface of the cylinder. That suspension leg is retained in the cylinder opening predominantly by its own weight.

Abstract: A printing press has several plate cylinders on which printing plates can be placed and from which they can be removed. Changing of these printing plates is accomplished by remote control through the use of a central controller which is associated with the printing press. The central controller is in control of all of the units which are involved in the changing of the printing press. At least one printing plate on at least one of the plate cylinders can be changed while the press is in operation.

Abstract: A mechanism is used for mounting a dressing on a cylinder of a printing press. The mechanism is fitteed with at least one stop which is effective in an axial direction of the cylinder. The stop allows the cylinder dressing to be arranged on the cylinder with pressure in the axial direction. The stop is situated outside of the cylinder.
