  • Publication number: 20140152808
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for the reliable detection of material defects in a continuously produced band of transparent material by means of examining a strip of a band of this material extending transversely with respect to the conveying direction and observed in transmitted light and reflected light, characterised in that it has the following features: a) uninterrupted illumination of the band of transparent material in transmitted light and reflected light by a linear lamp (6) disposed transversely with respect to the band and having a constant light flux and an adjacent lamp (5) likewise disposed transversely with respect to the strip and having an oscillating light flux, and an additional bright field illumination (8) and an additional dark field illumination (2), wherein the linear lamp (6) has a ruled grating (7) on the surface, b) uninterrupted detection of a detection zone extending over the width of the band of transparent material by means of line scan cameras (9, 1) which are di

  • Publication number: 20130176555
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for detecting flaws in a continuously produced float glass band by checking a glass strip, which extends perpendicularly to the conveying direction and which is observed in transmitted light. The device has the following characteristics: a) the flow of a float glass band is monitored without any gaps by a modularly constructed fastening bridge, scanning sensors fastened to the fastening bridge and two transmission lighting means arranged perpendicular to the glass band, b) each scanning sensor can be oriented by an adjusting apparatus according to the three spatial coordinates in positive and negative directions and can be finely adjusted by a target apparatus that can be pivoted in, in the form of an artificial measurement plane, and c) the lighting means are cooled by a cooling apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7344248
Abstract: The invention relates to an ophthalmoscope for examining the fundus of an eye of a patient, which comprises at least one illuminating device producing at least one illuminating beam, in addition to an imaging lens system which can be associated with the illuminating device and which images the illuminating beam onto the fundus of the eye of a patient; also comprising an observation device, wherein the imaging lens system images an observation beam onto the fundus of the eye, said observation beam being produced by reflecting the illuminating beam; also comprising a diaphragm arrangement introduced into the illuminating beam and the observation beam, whereby the gap of said diaphragm can be variably modified and synchronized.
