  • Patent number: 6495811
Abstract: An induction heating device having a hollow cylindrical body made of electrically conductive material, at least one primary induction coil and at least one auxiliary induction coil, the at least one primary induction coil and the at least one auxiliary induction coil being arranged in the cavity of the cylindrical body such that, by means of the at least one primary induction coil and the at least one auxiliary induction coil, first and second magnetic fields, respectively, can be produced in the cylindrical body. The at least one auxiliary induction coil and the at least one primary induction coil operate such that the second magnetic field, at least in one area of the cylindrical body, counteracts the first magnetic field. A corresponding method of operating such an induction heating device, and also a processor for processing a recording medium, having such an induction heating device, are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6325474
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for writing on thermographic material (5). The inventive device (1) comprises a heater (20) with which the thermographic material (5) is preheated to a temperature, which is lower than a writing temperature. The thermographic material (5) can be written on with a writing instrument (10) which is distanced from the thermographic material (5) after input of an information signal (s(t)). The writing instrument (10) has a plurality of individually controllable point sources (30-33; 51-53). The thermographic material (5) can be written on in a point-by-point manner with said point sources (30-33; 51-53).

  • Patent number: 5041867
Abstract: A transport device for a microfilm passage camera has a document supply device, and a transport device for further transporting a document in a camera and/or a document discharge device. Each of the document supply device and document transport device have a plurality of rotary members, a plurality of rings arranged so that each of the rotary members abuts against a respective one of the rings, a plurality of transporting rollers arranged so that the rings are mounted in groups on the transporting rollers, a lower guiding sheet limiting from above a document passage and provided with a plurality of perforations through which the rings extend into the document passage. The transporting rollers are driveable with a speed corresponding to filming of a document in the filming station.

  • Patent number: 4998136
Abstract: A continuous microfilming apparatus comprising a filming station, means for feeding documents to be microfilmed to the filming station, means for collecting the documents after they have been filmed, and means for transporting the documents from the filming station to the collecting means and turning the documents over substantially 180.degree. while transporting them, which transporting and turnover means includes a transporting reel defining a turnover path of substantially 180.degree. andd flexible guide means circumscribing the transporting reel substantially over 180.degree. and defining therewith a transporting channel for the documents.

  • Patent number: 4731639
Abstract: A microfilm pickup camera comprises a device for continually horizontally transporting originals to be projected in the camera through the camera, and an ink printing head for marking originals before they enter an exposure station provided in the camera. The ink printing head is provided with a drive which pivots, rotates and displaces the ink printing head between a use position, a cleaning position and a non-operative position. The printing head is EDV-controlled.

  • Patent number: 4080066
Abstract: Apparatus for processing signals which are transmitted by the transducers of photoelectric cells scanning discrete marginal fields of square or rectangular film frames on a web of photographic film has relay-actuated switches which can connect the transducers of selected cells to each other and with the foreground and background inputs of a signal receiving circuit which is connected to the exposure controls of a copying machine or to a data carrier. The frames are examined by an attendant who energizes selected relays or several relays at a time to thereby cause the switches to transmit to the two inputs appropriate signals denoting the density and/or other characteristics of corresponding groups of neighboring marginal fields, depending upon whether the frame which is being inspected by attendant has been exposed in normal orientation, at right angles to normal orientation or upside down.
