Abstract: The invention provides finely dispersed, agglomeration-free chloropolyethylene having good rubber and anti-blocking properties. The invention provides furthermore a process for the manufacture of such a chloropolyethylene, according to which chlorination of the starting polyethylene is carried out in the presence of a dispersing agent system of poly-N-vinylprrolidone and hydrophobic silicic acid. This process allows also the use of polyethylene types having a pronounced tendency to agglomeration.

Abstract: Medical apparatus for parenteral liquids wherein at least the surfaces coming into contact with said liquids consist of or contain a chlorinated polyolefin as specified and additionally contain a glycerol ester of an aliphatic fatty acid. The apparatus is characterized by a very good blood tolerance.

Abstract: Free-flowing chloropolyethylene in powder form which keeps this property after prolonged storage and has good processing properties is impregnated substantially on the particle surface with definite amounts of fine-grained vinyl chloride polymer and fine-grained organic substance in a definite proportion. The invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of such an improved chloropolyethylene and the use thereof.

Abstract: A moulding composition comprising (a) a melamineformaldehyde resin having a molar ratio of melamine to formaldehyde in the range 1:1.5 to 1:2.5 which upon hardening is capable of withstanding heating at 200.degree. C concerned for 2 hours in air without causing significant structural damage or color change to moulded articles made from moulding compositions in which it has been incorporated, (b) an accelerator derived from a mono- or dibasic organic acid, (c) an inorganic filler having low adsorption characteristics and an oil adsorption value of 10 to 40, (d) a further inorganic filler and (e) an external lubricant comprising at least one carboxyorganosiloxane esterified with an alcohol containing up to 4 carbon atoms and the process of preparing said moulding compositions.
