  • Patent number: 5601328
Abstract: The bonded fitting of window panes or windshields onto the window-pane flange of the window aperture of a motor-vehicle body has a set bead of adhesive which is applied between those edges of the window pane which are on the inside and the window-pane flange. In this arrangement, in each of the two lower corners there is provided, between the window pane and the bead of adhesive, a respective pressure-sensitive adhesive strip with the adhesive or bonding force reduced on one side. The pressure-sensitive adhesive strip extends from the corners of the window pane along the edges of the window pane in each case for 60 to 120 mm. When removing the window pane the pressure-sensitive adhesive strip in these corners is easily detached without using much force from the inner edge of the window pane by tilting the rest of the window pane which has been cut free.

  • Patent number: 5593125
Abstract: Fastening device for a stroke-type windshield wiper assembly on passenger vehicles in which a once adjusted position of the windshield wiper assembly can also be maintained during a repeated mounting and demounting. The holding element comprises two hingedly connected half shells which reach around the holding part of the wiper assembly. A first half shell is rigidly arranged on the holding element, and the other second half shell is releasably and lockably held on the first half shell, using a detent lock arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5337439
Abstract: A vehicle headlamp wiper apparatus having a wiper shaft which projects longitudinally outward from a housing toward the front of the vehicle. A locking device which axially fixes the shaft against longitudinal displacement relative to the housing is designed to release the shaft, and allow longitudinal displacement upon application of a longitudinal load of predetermined magnitude.

  • Patent number: 5269464
Abstract: A spraying device for headlamp-cleaning systems for motor vehicles having an essentially cylindrical nozzle carrier which comprises two sections, with the vehicle-external nozzle carrier section being formed from a number of annular segments connected to one another in a hinge-like manner. In a rest position, the nozzle carrier is retracted in the vehicle body. When moved into the operating setting outside the vehicle, the front nozzle carrier section comprising the annular segments curves in an arc shape, such that a cleaning nozzle fitted to the head end of the nozzle carrier comes to be situated in an area just in front of the headlamp diffusing screen.
