  • Patent number: 12134435
Abstract: In order to produce different motor vehicles of a vehicle type, which have the different drive concepts of an internal combustion engine, electric motor or a combination of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine, two different floor pan assemblies and two different luggage compartment floor subassemblies are provided. The two subassemblies are each produced using different deep-drawing dies. A combination of one of the two floor pan subassemblies with one of the two luggage compartment floor subassemblies allows the production of motor vehicles for all three drive concepts. The first of these two floor pan subassemblies, when installed in the vehicle, has a higher position than the second floor pan subassembly. The higher floor pan subassembly is used to produce both the electric-drive motor vehicles and hybrid-drive motor vehicles. A large-area installation space below the floor pan subassembly is also made available for the hybrid-drive motor vehicles for housing at least one pack-type battery.

  • Publication number: 20230331323
Abstract: In a group of motor vehicles of one vehicle type with three different drive concepts (“internal combustion drive”, “electric drive” or “hybrid drive”), the architecture of the motor vehicles having an electric drive is used to produce the motor vehicles of all three drive concepts. Irrespective of the drive concept, two variations of an elevated floor panel assembly are used, each of the two floor panel assemblies having a frame-like supporting structure. The first floor panel assembly is provided for the vehicles having an electric drive. Here, the battery is used as a supporting structural component and significantly takes over the reinforcement of the frame-like floor panel assembly. A second floor panel assembly is provided for the vehicles having a hybrid drive and having an internal combustion drive. In the second floor panel assembly, at least one reinforcing additional component is provided in order to provide sufficient structural rigidity.

  • Publication number: 20220281542
Abstract: In a group of motor vehicles of one vehicle type, hybrid-drive motor vehicles are derived from the electric-drive motor vehicles. By using the architecture of electric-drive motor vehicles for the hybrid-drive motor vehicles, the architecture has a floor pan subassembly that sits in a higher position in comparison to that in motor vehicles having an internal combustion engine drive. An installation space for housing a battery on the underside of the floor pan subassembly is made available, which, in comparison to the motor vehicle in the prior art, allows significantly larger batteries to be housed.

  • Patent number: 10363979
Abstract: By combining at least two different vehicle front end modules and passenger cell modules, at least two groups of motor vehicles belonging to different vehicle categories can be formed. For this purpose, the two vehicle front end modules feature different distances between the engine mounts, and the two passenger cell modules feature different distances between the front seats. The individual variants of each of the four modules are designed as identical parts and are manufactured in uniform deep-drawing dies for each module.
