  • Publication number: 20240077051
Abstract: The present invention relates to an injector for injecting gas, in particular hydrogen, preferably for directly injecting hydrogen, comprising an injector housing for holding injector components, a valve needle movably arranged along its longitudinal axis in the injector housing and configured to selectively close or release an injection opening for the flow of hydrogen therethrough, and a valve, preferably a solenoid valve, which is adapted to transfer the valve needle into a closing or releasing state by a movement along its longitudinal axis. The injector is characterized in that the valve needle is a hollow needle adapted to pass a gas, in particular hydrogen, flowing through the injection port through the interior of the hollow needle.

  • Patent number: 9453486
Abstract: An injector has an inlet and an outlet and an armature tube having passage structure and having a distal end spaced from the outlet. The passage structure communicates with the inlet. A movable, magnetic armature is coupled to the armature tube. An electromagnetic coil is associated with a stator and with the armature. A first spring is constructed and arranged, when the coil is not activated, to bias the armature tube so that the distal end engages in a sealing manner with a first seat to limit leakage of the gaseous fuel from the outlet. A second valve is movable in a valve body. A second spring is constructed and arranged, when the coil is not activated, to bias the second valve so that a seating surface thereof engages a second seat to close the outlet.

  • Patent number: 8939128
Abstract: The present invention shows a high-pressure injector having the following assemblies: an injector unit (1), a drive unit (2) for driving the injector unit (1), preferably a high-pressure storage unit (3) for supplying the injector unit (1) with fuel, and a high-pressure connection (4). Provision is made in this respect that the high-pressure injector has a housing (5) in which a plurality of the named assemblies are arranged behind one another in the longitudinal direction of the injector, wherein the housing (5) completely envelops at least one of the named assemblies, in particular the drive unit (2) and/or the high-pressure storage unit (3). The high-pressure injector with the injector unit can be used in all types of internal combustion engines, preferably in diesel engines.
