  • Patent number: 9912180
Abstract: A charge device for controlling an abnormal charge request is provided. The charge device includes a controller that interrupts a charge path, when power is applied and that determines whether a charge request is an abnormal charge request through a detour charge path and that controls to maintain interruption of the charge path, if the charge request is an abnormal charge request. The controller may be further configured to interrupt the detour charge path, in response to determining that the charge request is a normal charge request; connect the charge path; and supply a charge current to the charge path.

  • Patent number: 9479006
Abstract: A wireless charging method in a wireless charging system is provided. In the method, wireless charging is performed by providing wireless charging power to a charging circuit. When both a first communication signal and a second communication signal are detected while the wireless charging is performed, the wireless charging power is isolated from the charging circuit. The wireless charging power is isolated so that noise included in the wireless charging power is not provided to the charging circuit.

  • Patent number: 8847547
Abstract: A wireless charging system can optimize charging efficiency regardless of a location of a mobile terminal. The wireless charging system wirelessly charges a mobile terminal using electromagnetic induction between a first coil included in a charging pad and a second coil included in the mobile terminal. The charging pad can detect a location of the mobile terminal on the charging pad. The charging pad can move the first coil to correspond to the detected location of the mobile terminal; and supply power to the first coil and charging a battery.

  • Patent number: 8704631
Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling a key lock in a portable terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a keypad, a key buffer, and an input controller. The keypad has a plurality of key buttons and detects at least one key input. The key buffer temporarily stores input key information. The input controller stores the at least one key input, which is detected by the keypad, in the key buffer in a key lock state and determines if a combination of key inputs stored in the key buffer includes an unlock key combination.

  • Publication number: 20120171653
Abstract: A method of creating a relationship diagram for electronic book (or e-book) contents in a reader includes determining whether there is a relationship diagram creation request in a current page. The method includes, if there is the relationship diagram creation request, determining whether there is a relationship diagram associated with a previous page. In addition, the method includes, if there is the relationship diagram associated with the previous page, displaying the relationship diagram in an input window. Further, the method includes, if the relationship diagram displayed in the input window is modified and there is a save request, allowing the modified relationship diagram to be saved in accordance with the current page.

  • Patent number: 8195230
Abstract: Provided is a mobile wireless device, which is hearing aid-compatible and overcomes a limitation in space by using a magnetic coil equipped in a vibration motor without requiring an additional T-coil. The vibration motor is selectively connected to one of a data processing unit and a motor driving unit by a switching unit. The magnetic coil in the vibration motor receives a signal from the data processing unit and generates a magnetic field for hearing aid-compatibility. This magnetic signal is provided to an induction coil in a hearing aid a deaf person wears.

  • Publication number: 20080072107
Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for detecting errors in a display driver IC to prevent abnormal phenomena in a display unit of a mobile device. When initializing a memory of the display driver IC, a control unit stores control values in the memory for controlling a liquid crystal panel. An error detector checks the control values in the memory and outputs a detection value depending on a change of the control values in the memory. The control unit receives the detection value from the error detector and initializes again the memory when the received detection value is unusual. The apparatus and method use hard-wired lines for interconnection and interrupt instructions for error detection.
