  • Patent number: 9131854
Abstract: An apparatus and a method of measuring a blood pressure of an examinee while detecting the body activity of the examinee uses a pressurizing unit of a blood pressure gauge having first and second driving modes for pressurizing a cuff. A central processing unit classifies signals, which represent the movement, the position, or the direction of the blood pressure gauge detected by a sensor installed in a body of the blood pressure gauge, into a plurality of groups, and selectively performs the first driving mode or the second driving mode according to signal bands classified into the groups. The central processing unit is configured to generate blood pressure data so that the variation in the blood pressure of the examine is exactly determined according to the activity degree and the posture of the examinee.

  • Publication number: 20130274621
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for measuring blood pressures of both arms, in which an examine simultaneously measures the blood pressures of both arms without getting the arms out of cuffs in the stable and safely posture. The apparatus includes a body (100) mounted on a mounting table such as a desk, a left cuff unit (110) placed at a left upper portion of the body (100), and a right cuff unit (210) placed at a right upper portion of the body (100). The left and right cuff units have the symmetric structure so that the blood pressure is measured at identical blood pressure measurement portions of the left and right arms of the examinee which are placed at internal space parts of the left and right cuff units.

  • Publication number: 20060116589
Abstract: Disclosed is a weight scale having a function of a pulse rate meter or a heartbeat rate meter in which a weight, a pulse, and a heartbeat can be measured using a plus and minus electrode provided at a main part of the weight scale to catch athletic effects according to variation of the weight, the pulse, and the heartbeat measured before and after exercise of a subject, a function that brings the most appropriate exercise intensity can be provided to the subject using exercise intensity according to pulse and heartbeat, and stress of the subject is measured using heartbeat rate variability (HRV) representing regularity of pulse or heartbeat.

  • Patent number: 6239707
Abstract: A driver condition monitoring apparatus comprising a pulse sensor 1 installed in a steering wheel of a transportation device for sensing a pulse signal from the palm or fingers of either or both of the left and right hands of a driver, an amplifier 2 for amplifying the pulse signal sensed by the pulse sensor 1 and removing a noise component therefrom, a keypad 4 including a plurality of keys for inputting information about the driver, a data storage unit 5 for storing the driver information inputted through the keypad 4 and reference data produced when the driver selects a reference data input mode in his normal healthy condition, a controller 3 for comparing pulse signals sensed by the pulse sensor 1 before, after and while driving, respectively with the reference data stored in the data storage unit 5, analyzing each of the compared results, judging the current condition of the driver from the analyzed result and visually and aurally informing the driver of the judged result respectively through a display 8
