  • Publication number: 20140110023
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a printed circuit board, including the steps of providing a substrate including a first metal layer formed thereon, and forming a patterned first insulation layer on the first metal layer. The method further includes patterning the first metal layer to allow the first metal layer to have a pattern corresponding to that of the first insulation layer, thus forming a first circuit layer, and forming a second insulation layer on the substrate such that the second insulation layer surrounds the first circuit layer and the first insulation layer formed on the first circuit layer. The printed circuit board is advantageous in that process time and process cost can be reduced because a first insulation layer is used as an etching resist and is included as a part of a printed circuit board even after etching.

  • Patent number: 7912517
Abstract: A power saving method for a mobile telephone is disclosed that can increase the useful life of a battery charge by temporarily turning off non-essential telephone functions not required for call transmission or reception. The method determines whether the remaining capacity of the telephone battery is smaller than a predetermined reference value. The power saving method includes the steps of setting an activation condition for non-essential telephone functions, detecting a state that satisfies the activation condition, measuring the remaining capacity of the telephone's battery if the activation condition is satisfied, and controlling an activation operation of the non-essential telephone functions by comparing the measured remaining charged capacity with a reference value. The power saving method may include saving to and recalling from memory user preference settings when a user function is de-activated and re-activated, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7254410
Abstract: A method for managing short messages in a mobile communications terminal transmits either a previously stored message or a newly received message to an e-mail address when a memory of the terminal is saturated. The method includes allocating the terminal memory to have a basic capacity portion and a reserve capacity portion, determining whether a newly received message can be stored in the basic capacity portion, and storing the newly received message in the reserve capacity portion when the basic capacity portion is saturated. If at least one message stored in the basic capacity portion has an “unread message” status, then that unread message is transmitted to the e-mail address to make room for storage of the newly received message. This method therefore ensures that no previously stored “unread” or “stored” message is overwritten with a new message when the terminal memory is filled to capacity.

  • Publication number: 20030109279
Abstract: An apparatus including a first mixer, a second mixer, an oscillator, and a frequency divider. The oscillator is coupled to the first mixer, for processing a signal of a first communication protocol. The frequency divider comprises an input and an output. The input of the divider is coupled to the oscillator and the output of the divider is coupled to the second mixer. The second mixer is for processing a signal of a second communication standard. The embodiments of the present invention are advantageous, as a single oscillator can be utilized for driving both a first mixer and second mixer at different frequencies. Accordingly, separate oscillators are not needed for the first mixer and the second mixer. These embodiments simplify the circuit structure of a tri-mode mobile terminal and consequently allow for tri-mode mobile terminals to have a smaller size and weight.

The method includes allocating the terminal memory to have a basic capacity portion and a reserve capacity portion, determining whether a newly received message can be stored in the basic capacity portion, and storing the newly received message in the reserve capacity portion when the basic capacity portion is saturated. The method continues by determining whether a deletable short message exists in the basic capacity portion of the memory. If so, the deletable short message is deleted and the newly received message is stored in the basic capacity portion. If no deletable short message exists and all the short messages stored in the basic capacity portion have a “stored message” status, then the newly received message is transmitted to the e-mail address.
