Abstract: A supporting member, an optical pick-up actuator that employs a plurality of supporting members, and an optical recording and/or reproducing apparatus using the optical pick-up actuator. The supporting members have a wire pattern to apply a current, and are combined with a bobbin on which an objective lens is mounted. The optical pick-up actuator actuates the bobbin by a magnetic actuating unit, wherein the bobbin is suspended by the supporting members.

Abstract: An optical pickup actuator including a lens holder holding an objective lens and which is supported by a suspension to be movable with respect to a base, and a magnetic circuit which drives the objective lens, and an optical recording and/or reproducing apparatus using the same. The magnetic circuit includes a pair of unipolar magnetized magnets positioned on the base to face each other, a focusing coil positioned in the lens holder to be placed between the pair of unipolar magnetized magnets, a plurality of tracking coils positioned at a side of the focusing coil facing the unipolar magnetized magnet, and a plurality of tilt coils, which, are positioned in an upper portion and/or a lower portion of the focusing coil with respect to an upper direction and a lower direction of a central axis of the objective lens.

Abstract: A molded coil device includes a coil comprised of a plurality of turns of a conductive material through a plurality of planes and an integral body comprised of an insulating and nonmagnetic material burying the coil. The coil is first formed and thereafter is sintered/pressed with the insulating and nonmagnetic material to form the integral body. The molded coil device is advantageously applied within an optical pickup actuator of an optical disc drive.

Abstract: An optical pickup actuator and optical disc drive using the same. The optical pickup actuator includes a blade holding an objective lens and supported on a base by a plurality of suspension wires so that it is elastically movable, a magnetic element positioned on the base, and a coil positioned horizontally on the blade to generate electromagnetic force in a focusing direction and/or a tilting direction through interaction with the magnetic element. The coil is divided into a plurality of subcoils separated vertically from one another.
