    Abstract: A lithium-air battery according to embodiments of the inventive concepts includes a negative electrode including a lithium metal, a positive electrode using oxygen as a positive electrode active material, a non-aqueous electrolyte disposed between the negative electrode and the positive electrode and including lithium iodide (LiI), and a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Lithium hydroxide (LiOH) is produced as a discharge product at the positive electrode by iodine (I) of LiI included in the non-aqueous electrolyte.
