  • Publication number: 20070160907
Abstract: The present invention provides A method for preparing an electrode containing lithium nickel oxide wherein nickel has a single oxidation number, which comprises the following steps: a) preparing an electrode containing the lithium nickel oxide (LixNi1-yO, 0.4<x<1, 0<y<1) layer formed on the conductive substrate; and b) applying oxidative voltage to the electrode, and then applying reductive votage thereto, an electrode prepared by the method and an electrochromic device containing the same. The electrode containing the lithium nickel oxide layer of the present invention exhibits wider optical electrochromic range and fast reaction speed, so that it can contribute to improving electrochromism and other optical properties of an electrochromic device.

  • Publication number: 20060093147
Abstract: An apparatus and method for scrambling/de-scrambling 16-bit data at a PCI Express protocol are provided. The apparatus includes an 8-bit precedence shift register generator for calculating an 8-bit shift register value, and outputting an 8-bit precedence shift register value through an exclusive OR (XOR) operation with 8-bit input data; and a 16-bit precedence shift register generator for more shifting the 8-bit precedence shift register value by 8 bits, assigning each register value, and outputting a 16-bit precedence shift register value through an exclusive OR (XOR) operation, whereby the 16-bit data is scrambled/de-scrambled at one clock.

  • Publication number: 20050231785
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrochromic device comprising: (a) a first electrode; (b) a second electrode; (c) an electrochromic material; and (d) a gel polymer electrolyte containing an ionic liquid. A method for manufacturing the same is also disclosed. The electrochromic device uses a gel polymer electrolyte comprising an ionic liquid. Therefore, there is no problem related with electrolyte leakage. Additionally, it is possible to manufacture electrochromic devices by using plastic materials, because the ionic liquid gel polymer electrolyte permits structural deformation with ease. Further, because the electrochromic device uses an ionic liquid, it is possible to minimize side reactions between constitutional elements of an electrochromic device and electrolyte.

  • Publication number: 20050179012
Abstract: Disclosed are viologen derivatives as an electrochromic material having improved stability and lifetime, a metal oxide electrode including the same, and an electrochromic device using the viologen derivative as an electrochromic material. The viologen derivative includes a suitable regulator group capable of increasing ?E that is a potential difference between E1 (potential at the first redox reaction) and E2 (potential at the second redox reaction). When ?E increases, the mole fraction of viologen molecules present in the second reduction state decreases. Therefore, it is possible to lower the mole fraction of viologen molecules present in an irreversibly reduced state at an applied potential, thereby increasing the lifetime of an electrochromic material and an electrochromic device.
