The mounting structure is constructed with a reinforcing member installed on a chassis base of the display module, a boss including a threaded length having an outer portion on which a screw surface is formed and being coupled to the reinforcing member, and a connecting portion extending from the threaded length in a direction away from the reinforcing member and having an end portion in which a coupling hole is formed, and a supporting nut screwed into the threaded length to press the boss toward the reinforcing member.

Abstract: A plasma display device to prevent damage to a signal transmission unit by improving the shape of a cover plate covering the signal transmission unit. The plasma display device includes: a plasma display panel; a chassis base installed at rear of the plasma display panel; a circuit unit installed at rear of the chassis base; a plurality of signal transmission units surrounding the edge of the chassis base, each of which has one end connected to the circuit unit and the other end extending to the plasma display panel to transmit an electrical signal from the circuit unit to the plasma display panel, wherein the signal transmission units comprise electronic elements; and a cover plate covering the electronic elements and the signal transmission unit and embossed with protrusions toward the signal transmission unit so as to be spaced apart from the electronic elements.

Abstract: A fixing structure for a circuit board includes at least one board mounting hole in the circuit board, the board mounting hole having a guide hole and an insertion hole, and at least one board mounting member inserted through the board mounting hole, the board mounting member having a main body, a cover, and an insertion portion therebetween, wherein the insertion portion has a cross-sectional area smaller than either of the main body or the cover and is capable of fitting in the insertion hole of the board mounting hole.

Abstract: A plasma display apparatus comprising a chassis base, a plasma display panel coupled to a first side of the chassis base, and a driving board, for driving the plasma display panel, attached on a second side of the chassis base opposite to the first side of the chassis base. A fan dissipates heat generated from the plasma display panel and components inside of the apparatus. The fan includes an intake diffuser for efficient airflow into the fan.

Abstract: In a chassis base assembly, a method of manufacturing the chassis base assembly, and a Plasma Display Panel (PDP) assembly, the method includes: preparing a raw flat panel for forming the chassis reinforcing member; forming ribs having a predetermined depth by processing the raw flat panel for forming the chassis reinforcing member using a drawing process; and forming an outer shape of the chassis reinforcing member using a notching process. There are no disconnections at corners where the horizontal and vertical reinforcing members meet to each other since the chassis reinforcing members are formed as a unitary body by a drawing process. Accordingly, stress concentrations at corners of the chassis reinforcing members are prevented, thereby increasing the strength of the chassis base assembly.

Abstract: A chassis structure for a plasma display module, and a plasma display module including the chassis structure effectively dissipate heat generated by a plasma display panel and improve assembly of the plasma display module. The chassis base includes: a front plate; a back plate separated from the front plate; and a heat dissipation member disposed between the front plate and the back plate, and having a bent cross-section arranged so that some surfaces of the heat dissipation member contact the front plate and some surfaces of the heat dissipation member contact the back plate to allow air flow between the front and back plate.

Abstract: A filter holder and a display apparatus including the filter holder prevent image quality from being degraded, and prevent a display panel from being damaged, by efficiently discharging heat generated by the display panel. The filter holder includes a pressing portion that presses an EMI filter toward and against a front portion of a front cabinet, a fixing portion that is fixed on the front portion of the front cabinet, and an inner wall portion that connects the pressing portion and the fixing portion. At least one first hole can be provided in the inner wall portion; at least one second hole can be provided in the fixing portion fixed on the front portion of the front cabinet; at least one third hole can be provided in an outer wall portion; at least one fourth hole can be provided in the front portion of the front cabinet; and at least one fifth hole can be provided in a lateral portion of the front cabinet.

Abstract: A plasma display device includes: a Plasma Display Panel(PDP); a chassis base adapted to support the PDP attached to one surface thereof, a plurality of Integrated Circuit (IC) modules respectively included on driving circuit boards attached to another surface of the chassis base and adapted to control the PDP; and a reinforcing member arranged on the chassis base, one surface of each of the IC modules being in contact with the reinforcing member. The integrated circuit module is attached to the reinforcing member which reinforces the mechanical strength of the chassis base, so that a heat sink is not needed. The thickness of a plasma display device is thereby reduced and the appearance of the plasma display device is improved.

Abstract: There is provided a plasma display apparatus capable of reducing the cost and complexity of fitting circuit boards to a chassis base. The shock absorbing member is disposed between the connecting member and the stand member such that the shock absorbing member absorbs a shock caused by a collision between the connecting member and the stand member.

Abstract: A design for a display apparatus that allows for improved convection for the removal of hot air from heated circuit components. The display apparatus includes a display panel, a chassis having a base, which supports the display panel, and a flange formed along an upper edge of the base to prevent the base from bending, the flange having at least one air passage hole to allow smooth air flow. The display apparatus also has a printed circuit board on which parts for driving the display panel are mounted, the printed circuit board being supported by the chassis, and a case which accommodates the display panel, the chassis, and the printed circuit board. The case also is perforated by two sets of holes to allow hot air to escape and cool air to enter the display apparatus.
