  • Patent number: 10684989
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for evicting entries from a file handle cache. In accordance with certain embodiments, a two-stage eviction process is utilized. In a first stage of the eviction process, entries in the file entry cache are analyzed and marked for eviction while a shared lock is maintained on the file handle cache. The shared lock enables the file handle cache to be concurrently accessed by a content serving system to service content requests. In a second stage of the eviction process, entries in the file handle cache that are marked for eviction are removed while an exclusive lock is maintained on the file handle cache. The exclusive lock prevents the content serving system from concurrently accessing the file handle cache to service content requests.

  • Publication number: 20060146222
Abstract: An LCD device is disclosed in which column spacers for a cell gap are arranged between gate and common lines to reduce a contact area between the column spacers and an opposing substrate, and a stable cell gap is maintained over the whole panel by reducing variation of a thickness per area of a thin film transistor (TFT) substrate corresponding to the column spacers. The LCD device includes first and second substrates facing each other, gate and data lines formed on the first substrate to cross each other, and pixel regions, a thin film transistor formed in each portion where the gate and data lines cross, common and pixel electrodes alternately formed in the pixel regions, common lines formed adjacent to the gate lines substantially parallel to the gate lines, a first column spacer formed on the second substrate corresponding to a portion between the gate line and the common line, and a liquid crystal layer filled between the first and second substrates.

  • Publication number: 20050243262
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) device is divided into an active region and a liquid crystal margin region. The LCD includes a thin film transistor substrate that includes gate and data lines crossing each other to define pixel regions, and thin film transistors in the active region. A color filter substrate has column spacers in the active region that contact a portion corresponding to a region of the thin film transistor and the gate or data lines. The column spacers contacting the thin film transistor region provide an elastic gap between the substrates. The column spacers in the gate/data line region are separated from the color filter substrate. Other column spacers are formed in the liquid crystal margin region in a honeycomb arrangement. A liquid crystal layer is disposed between the thin film transistor and color filter substrates.
