    Abstract: A bathtub lift employing a hydraulic cylinder reciprocatably mounted about an elongate shaft has the cylinders mounting a seat member thereto, wherein a valve member is arranged for operative filling of an upper chamber within the cylinder to effect lifting of the chair and specifically permitting exhausting of fluid from the cylinder to permit lowering of the chair within a bathtub as the cylinder is rotatably mounted about the shaft.
