Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a map service using a global positioning service in a mobile terminal includes determining a current position of the mobile terminal. A moving path of the mobile terminal is recorded. If content for key point marking are generated, a tag icon corresponding to the content is inserted into a point representing the current position of the mobile terminal. A map message includes the moving path, the tag icon, and the content.

Abstract: A method for updating contents of a Digital Media Server (DMS) in a digital living network alliance system (DLNA) is disclosed. An update process is performed through a periodic update event in a Digital Media Player (DMP) that receives all content information of the DMS. Upon determining that information loss has occurred in the update process, the DMP sends to the DMS a request for information about a list of items possessed by the DMS. The DMP receives the requested information about the list of items and compares the received information about the list of items with information about pre-stored items to obtain a comparison result. When a difference occurs as the comparison result, all information about contents of the DMS is obtained through a browse action. When the difference does not occur as the comparison result, the update process is continuously performed.

Abstract: An apparatus and method control a connection between peripheral devices in a control server of a wireless communication system providing an IP-based communication service. The method for controlling the connection between peripheral devices includes registering at least one device in a group list classified by user identification information. The method also includes, if a control node including a user identifier of the group list requests a control of any one device included in the group list, checking an IP address of the device that is requested to be controlled by the control node. The method further includes sending a control command of the control node using the IP address.

Service frameworks existing in a plurality of HNDs including vehicle devices are based on OSGi®, and interoperation between the MHD and the HNDs depends on a Digital Living Network Alliance® (DLNA®) standard.

The communication system of the Zigbee PAN includes a first terminal equipped with a Zigbee communication module capable of Zigbee communication, for generating contents data for extracting a tag from the generated contents data, generating profile information using the tag, and for broadcasting the profile information and the contents data in the Zigbee PAN, and a second terminal for comparing a tag of the contents data detected from the received profile information with a previously stored tag upon receiving the profile information broadcasted from the first terminal, and then for receiving the contents data if the detected tag of the contents data and the previously stored tag coincide with each other.

A server Mobile Station (MS) Transport Stream (TS)—multiplexes audio/video data, generates TS data, and transmits the generated TS data in a live streaming scheme to a client MS through an accessed IP based packet service network. A client MS receives the TS data generated by the server MS in the live streaming scheme through the accessed IP based packet service network, TS-demultiplexes the received TS data, and restores the original audio/video data.
