Abstract: A phosphor and a light emitting device comprising the same are disclosed in embodiments. The phosphor disclosed in an embodiment comprises a phosphor composition of a M4D1-xOyF:Ax structure containing a divalent metal (M), an elements (A) of the active agent, a fluorine or fluor (F) and an oxygen (O), and, wherein the x satisfies a range of 0.001?x?0.1, and the y satisfies a range of 1?y?5, wherein the M is at least one of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and Zn, wherein the D is at least one of Si, Ge, Sn, Ti, Zr and Hf, wherein the F is fluorine, wherein the A comprises at least one of Mn, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb, wherein the phosphor composition emits red light by a peak wavelength of 400 nm to 470 nm as an excitation wavelength, wherein the red light has a peak wavelength of 655 nm to 670 nm and has a FWHM of less than 20 nm.
