  • Publication number: 20070183429
Abstract: The present invention relates to an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) protocol, and more particularly to an ATM Adaptation Layer 0 (AAL0) cell format for increasing trunk path efficiency when communicating voice traffic data by using the ATM protocol in a CDMA system. In a conventional CDMA system, the ATM is used to communicate multimedia traffic, including voice traffic data, through a backbone network, and AAL5 cell is most widely used in the ATM since it provides a simple and efficient process for data traffic. However, when processing full-rate voice traffic (i.e., 24 bytes of voice data per 20 ms-frame), two AAL5 cells are needed to communicate the full-rate voice data because one AAL5 includes only 16 bytes of data. This may result in few problems (e.g., traffic overload, cell loss and so forth). In order to eliminate the above problems, the present invention employs an AAL0 cell, in which 8 bytes of trailer are sacrificed and assigned to the voice traffic data, to enhance trunk path efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20070156865
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for downloading an operating system (OS) or an application and installing it on a set of base station controllers (BSCs) in a CDMA mobile communication system. According to the present invention, when a newer version of an OS or application needs to be installed on the set of BSCs, each of the BSCs is informed of the need for updating an OS or application by the base station manager (BSM), and simultaneously downloads the OS or application from the BSM for installation. This may diminish the traffic overload between the BSM and the BSCs by reducing the number of additional control signals communicated when the BSCs individually download the OS or application.

  • Publication number: 20070036478
Abstract: An integrated optical modulator and method for manufacturing thereof are disclosed. The integrated optical modulator comprises a carrier wave band modulator using a double sideband modulation method and an intermediate frequency band modulator using a single sideband modulation method. The carrier wave band modulator and the intermediate frequency band modulator are connected in series. A method for manufacturing an integrated optical modulator comprises preparing a substrate having at least one polarization reversed section, forming a first optical waveguide part and a second optical waveguide part on the substrate, forming a buffer layer over the first and second optical waveguide parts, forming sequentially a first electrode part and a second electrode part over the first optical waveguide part, and forming a third electrode part over the second optical waveguide part.

  • Publication number: 20060129631
Abstract: A method for controlling a media message upload through a wireless communication network is disclosed. In one aspect of the present invention, when a communication terminal uploads particular media data to an application server, the communication terminal uploads the media data by organizing it into a plurality of segments and one response message is issued by the application server for a predefined number of segments. If an upload error occurs, the upload can be easily resumed without verification of the uploaded data based on a sequence number of a segment provided by the application server. When a data upload is cancelled intentionally befA method for controlling a media message upload through a wireless communication network is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050212369
Abstract: Disclosed is a vibration motor including a stator assembly, a rotor assembly, a shaft and a pair of brushes having different osculatory tracks. The stator assembly includes a magnet and a lower substrate. The rotor assembly has an eccentric weight, and includes a commutator positioned on the lower surface thereof and a coil assembly for generating electromagnetic force by current applied from the commutator. The shaft is inserted into a rotary center of the rotor assembly for forming a rotary shaft of the rotor assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050057412
Abstract: The present invention is provided to manufacture a slot antenna having slots formed on both sides, that is, a top and a bottom of a dielectric substrate, wherein electric fields in the slots are generated in the utmost same direction. According to this structure, it is possible to realize a compact and lightweight slot antenna having higher gain and radiation efficiency characteristics in comparison with the conventional meandered slot antenna.
