    Abstract: The present invention relates to a resole resin composition comprising a resole resin in combination with a polyvinylacetate resin and a solvent. Said composition provides a flexible bonding composition for filter papers wherein said resin is fast curing and the impregnated cured paper can be pleated after curing without cracking or further curing providing economies for the paper and filter fabricators and a superior filter paper.
