Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting one or more contents through a short-range communication is provided. The apparatus includes a content-requesting terminal and a content-providing terminal. The content-requesting terminal requests a list of contents available for transmission to the content-providing terminal, receives the content list from the content-providing terminal, selects one or more contents from the content list, and receives the selected one or more contents from the content-providing terminal. The content-providing portable terminal receives a request for transmitting one or more contents selected from the content list from the content-requesting terminal, and transmits the requested one or more contents to the content-requesting terminal.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and method for sharing a screen in video telephony in a mobile communication terminal. The method includes transmitting a screen share request signal to a connected terminal if an event occurs for screen share in the video telephony, and capturing an image displayed on the screen, and transmitting the captured image to the connected terminal, when receiving a screen share acceptance signal from the connected terminal.

Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for video telephony in a portable terminal. In the method, all image frames received from a video telephony counterpart terminal are decoded when a video telephony event is detected. Thereafter, it is determined if the received image frames are accumulated in a buffer of the portable terminal. Thereafter, only a portion of the decoded image frames are selected and displayed when the received image frames are accumulated in the buffer.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and a method for connecting a vide call in mobile communication system. The method includes requesting video call profile data information of a receiving terminal from a profile information managing server while trying a video call; and connecting the receiving terminal for the video call by using the received profile data information when the video call profile information is received from the server. A video call connection can be promptly achieved between a transmitting terminal and a receiving terminal without a protocol negotiation procedure.

Abstract: Provided is a video telephony apparatus and method for mobile terminals. The video telephony apparatus includes a controller, a display unit, a codec, and a content controller. The controller exchanges protocol signals for a video call with the other party terminal, and demultiplexes a moving image and a voice that are received from the other party terminal. The display unit displays the received moving image, and the codec plays the received voice. The content controller manages Right Objects (ROs) of multimedia contents received from the other party terminal, and captures the displayed moving image and the played voice according to the ROs. Accordingly, it is possible to protect portrait rights during the video call.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method of directly setting priority information for maintaining synchronization between a mobile e-mail server and a plurality of client stations. The system includes: at least one client station for transmitting client station information containing priority information and transmitting event information; and a server for receiving the client station information transmitted from the client station, confirming the priority information, changing a priority setting of the client station if the confirmed priority is higher than a stored priority; and reflecting the event information according to the priority.

Abstract: An E-mail apparatus and method are provided. The e-mail apparatus includes a memory that stores display names and e-mail addresses corresponding to the display names, and a controller that extracts an e-mail address from a received e-mail message, retrieves from the memory a display name corresponding to the extracted e-mail address, modifies the display name of the received e-mail message to the retrieved display name, and outputs the modified display name.
