The device controller performs control so that the auxiliary device receives at least one event. The configuration manager receives a client configuration message, and extracts first event request information. The device event receiver receives raw data related to a first event. The event data analyzer converts the raw data into information related to the first event. The registered event dispatcher registers a second event based on the extracted first event request information, receives the information related to the first event, determines whether the first event corresponds to the registered second event, and generates determination information indicating that the first event corresponds to the second event.

Held content information, indicating whether or not the specific content is held, is received from one or more of the terminals within the list, and the specific content is received from the one or more terminals.

Abstract: A digital signage system and a method of providing information using the digital signage system are disclosed. The emergency detection unit collects the surrounding emergency-related information of the digital signage terminal. The emergency detection message generation unit generates an emergency detection message including the collected emergency-related information. Abstract: Provided is a video telephony apparatus and method for mobile terminals. The video telephony apparatus includes a controller, a display unit, a codec, and a content controller. The controller exchanges protocol signals for a video call with the other party terminal, and demultiplexes a moving image and a voice that are received from the other party terminal. The display unit displays the received moving image, and the codec plays the received voice. The content controller manages Right Objects (ROs) of multimedia contents received from the other party terminal, and captures the displayed moving image and the played voice according to the ROs. Accordingly, it is possible to protect portrait rights during the video call.

In the method, all image frames received from a video telephony counterpart terminal are decoded when a video telephony event is detected. Thereafter, it is determined if the received image frames are accumulated in a buffer of the portable terminal. Thereafter, only a portion of the decoded image frames are selected and displayed when the received image frames are accumulated in the buffer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to use of a circular buffer used by a peer in a multimedia streaming service based on peer-to-peer (P2P), and an operating method thereof. A circular buffer of the present invention may include a buffering section to process a delayed data fragment transmission request from at least one peer present in a network according to a playback of a multimedia content, a storing section to store data to be provided to the at least one peer, a continuous storing section in which data fragments for the playback of the multimedia content are stored in serial order, and a discontinuous storing section in which a space for a received data fragment to be shared with the at least one peer is reserved and a space for a data fragment to be received is reserved.
