Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and method for managing mapping information of a nonvolatile memory, in which a time period required for a request for access to a logic sector of the nonvolatile memory is minimized. The apparatus includes an extractor which extracts a logical sector mapped with each physical sector in physical units mapped with a predetermined logical unit, a mapping information generator which generates mapping information of logical sectors belonging to the logical unit including the extracted logical sector, and a mapping information memory which stores the generated mapping information.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for improving the data processing speed through the storage of the record information of an identity module. In the method for improving data processing speed, a request for input/output of at least one predetermined record stored in the identity module from an application is received. Metadata about the requested record of the identity module and the request are transmitted to the identity module. Results corresponding to the request are received from the identity module, and are transmitted to the application.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a domain name service system and method thereof. According to the present invention, a domain name service can be provided through a mobile host and domain name servers having smallest hop counts, based on position information on the domain name servers included in external links. Therefore, a domain name service can be provided within a short time regardless of operating modes of the domain name servers. Furthermore, it is possible to reduce system traffic since the addresses of optimal domain name servers are provided to edge routers.

Abstract: A system for cache synchronization includes a data managing unit and a storage medium. The data managing unit is configured to control storing of data of a buffer cache of the storage medium, in response to an event signal received from a host, by classifying the data of the buffer cache into random data and sequential data. The storage medium includes a first area and a second area, and is configured to store the random data and an address information map in the first area, and to store the sequential data in the second area.

Abstract: A network apparatus for a stable handoff in an IP-based mobile ad hoc network system and a handoff method using the same. Present invention enables a handoff to be stably performed by pre-configuring a handoff to a new access router. The network apparatus of the present invention comprises a movement-determining unit for determining movement depending on the signal strength upon reception of a packet among network apparatuses operating on a communication mobile ad hoc network, and deciding a handoff to a new access router; a router-configuring unit for configuring information on the new access router for the handoff by performing beforehand the handoff to the new access router according to the results of the determination in the movement-determining unit; and a handoff-processing unit for performing the handoff to the new access router using the pre-configured information according to the determination in the movement-determining unit.

Abstract: A data management method includes assigning data buffered in a first memory device into at least two different groups for transfer to a second memory device. At least one of the different groups has at least two units of the data assigned thereto. The data is transferred from the first memory device to the second memory device in a sequence according to a respective priority associated with each of the different groups and in group-by-group manner such that units of the data assigned to a group having a higher priority are transferred to the second memory device prior to units of the data assigned to a group having a lower priority. Related systems and methods are also discussed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for minimizing hand-off time using mobile node information. In the method of minimizing hand-off time using mobile node information, identification information is received that includes information about a router and unique information about an access point. Information about a mobile node connected to a network, which is controlled by the access point, is combined with the identification information, thus generating a mobile IP address of the mobile node. The mobile IP address is then transmitted to the mobile node.

The controller controls a writing operation to the memory array. Abstract: Provided are method and system for remotely updating a household device. The household device, which is coupled to a predetermined server through a communication network and can be remotely updated with update function data downloaded from the server, includes a first unit that forcibly converts the household device into a download mode when the household device is in a state in which it cannot automatically or manually receive the update function data; and a second unit that receives the update function data from the server according to the authorization of the first unit and updates a system function. Accordingly, the external update function data can be downloaded to the household device through the network to update the function of the household device without expense of human resources, even if the household device operates abnormally.
