  • Publication number: 20100033263
Abstract: A flat transmission wire is provided which includes a first insulating or dielectric film, a transmission layer formed on at least one surface of the first insulating or dielectric film so as to transmit electrical signals therethrough, a second insulating or dielectric film formed on one surface of the transmission layer, and a functional layer formed on one surface of the second insulating or dielectric film. Further provided are methods for fabricating flat transmission wires which enable the formation of uniform and fine transmission line patterns, and are environmental friendly, as compared to deposition-based methods.

  • Patent number: 7202369
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing 3,4-dialkoxythiophenes or 3,4-alkylenedioxythiophenes in high yield via the rapid decarboxylation of 3,4-dialkoxythiophenedicarboxylic acid or 3,4-aklylenedioxythiophenedicarboxylic acid in a water-miscible polar solvent in the presence of copper catalyst under an oxygen atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 7034104
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing polythiophenes comprised of unit structures of the general formula 1: where R1 and R2 independently represent hydrogen or a C1˜C4 alkyl group, or together represent an optionally substituted C1˜C4 alkylene group, preferably an optionally alkyl-substituted methylene group, an optionally C1˜C4 alkyl- or phenyl-substituted 1,2-ethylene group, a 1,3-propylene group or a 1,2-cyclohexylene group. More specifically, the process according to the present invention is characterized by the fact that it is performed by cationic polymerization from 2,5-dihalothiophene in the presence of an acid catalyst, such as Lewis acid, protic acid, oxygen acid, or polymeric acid. The conductivity of the resulting polythiophene is 255 S/cm under optimal conditions.

  • Patent number: 6943257
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for preparing an aromatic bromide or aromatic iodide from an aromatic amine derivative using nitrite anion and halodimethylsulfonium halide generated in situ from hydrobromic acid/DMSO or hydriodic acid/DMSO. The process for producing compounds of the formula (1) is disclosed (1) wherein X is bromine or iodine: Y is carbon or nitrogen; R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 which may be the same or different and are selected independently from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a hologen, a C1-C8 alkyl, a C1-C10 alkoxy, a nitro, a formyl, an aryl, a benzyl, a C2-C10 alkylcarbonyl and an arylcarbonyl, provided that adjacent groups as selected from R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 may combine to form a ring.
