  • Publication number: 20040176712
Abstract: A backbone correction apparatus includes a base plate, a rolling body support unit, and a support frame. The rolling body support unit is rollably connected to the surface of the base plate to accommodate a user lying with his back on the rolling body support unit. The rolling body support unit includes: an upper body unit having a plurality of head and backbone supporting members connected to each other by an elastic member and having a plurality of wheels contacting the base plate, the upper body unit capable of receiving the head and the back of the user; and a lower body unit capable of receiving the hip and the legs and having a plurality of wheels contacting the base plate. Each part in the upper body unit and the lower body unit is movable a top and bottom direction, in a lateral direction, in a slanted direction, in an arcuate direction, and in the up and down directions with respect to the laid user. A support frame rigidly supports the base plate.

  • Patent number: 5938984
Abstract: A temperature regulating method of a humidifier regulates a temperature of water vapor ejected therefrom according to a surrounding temperature. A cool humidification mode is added to a humidification mode of the humidifier, and a temperature of a humidifying tub is detected upon being shifted into the cool humidification mode by a user. Thus, the detected temperature is compared with a temperature preset for performing the cool humidification mode to turn off the heater when the temperature of the humidifying tub is higher than the preset temperature and, turn on the heater otherwise, thereby regulating the temperature of the water vapor ejected from an ejecting slit of the humidifier according to the surrounding temperature thereof.

  • Patent number: 5918804
Abstract: In a combination type humidifier having a heater and an ultrasonic vibrator, an art for preventing the ultrasonic vibrator from being thermally damaged due to a heat produced by the heater is disclosed. First, a current humidity of a space, a water temperature of a humidifying chamber and a target humidity set by a user are detected. When the current humidity is higher than the target humidity, a fan motor begins to operate for a rapid heat loss. Otherwise, when the target humidity is higher than the current humidity, an error message concerning the setting of the target humidity is displayed and the fan motor is driven for a predetermined time. The heater is controlled so that the water temperature of the humidifying chamber is kept below the limit temperature by using a result of comparing the water temperature of the humidifying chamber with a limit temperature that is set for protecting the ultrasonic vibrator while the ultrasonic vibrator and the heater are simultaneously operated by a user's selection.

  • Patent number: 5901905
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for sensing an illuminance and a temperature around a humidifier and controlling a humidifying operation is disclosed. An illuminance inside a room in which a humidifying operation is applied by the humidifier is sensed by an illuminance sensor. The humidifying operation of the humidifier is operated in a sleeping humidification mode when the sensed illuminance is lower than a reference illuminance. The humidifying operation of the humidifier is operated in a normal humidification mode when the sensed illuminance is higher than the reference illuminance. A temperature inside the room in which the humidifying operation is applied by the humidifier is sensed by a temperature sensor. The humidifier executes a heater humidification and an ultrasonic humidification when the sensed temperature is lower than a reference temperature. The humidifier stops the heater humidification and executes the ultrasonic humidification when the sensed temperature is higher than the reference temperature.

  • Patent number: 5848222
Abstract: The appliance for dispensing warm and cold water has a heater for heating water in tank, a PTC heater for preliminarily heating newly supplied water in the tank toward a predetermined temperature, and a comparting member for forming a comparted space around the PTC heater. The comparting member is formed with a plurality of water flow apertures for communicating the comparted space with an inner space of the tank. When warm water in the tank is dispensed to outside, the same amount of water with the dispensed water is supplied in the tank. The newly supplied water is flowed into the inner surface of the tank after being heated by the PTC heater in the comparted space. Accordingly, the fall of temperature of warm water in the tank by the newly supplied water is prevented, and it is possible to dispense warm water having appropriate temperature at any time.

  • Patent number: 5832176
Abstract: Disclosed is a heating type ultrasonic humidifier that destroys germs existing in water, and has enhanced efficiency because of heating the water by a heater. The humidifier has a housing having a removable water supply vessel wherein a valve is mounted on a lower end of the water supply vessel installed at a first portion of the housing, and a duct formed at a first side wall of the housing. The housing has a subsidiary water vessel having a water flow pipe, a heater water vessel which has a heater and a discharging pipe, a pressure control device, a pressure valve device, a main water vessel which has an ultrasonic vibrator, a mist conduit pipe, a nozzle, and a motor-blower. Accordingly, the humidifier destroys the germs existing in the water in the heater water vessel because the water is heated by the heater.

  • Patent number: 5722587
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling a humidifier. The method comprises the steps of recording a humidity of a room, setting a desirable humidity and the operating time by handling a key input section, recording a first present time, recording a second present time when the humidity in the room has reached a predetermined humidity, recording an elapsed time from the first present time to the second present time, comparing the elapsed time with the look-up tables, determining the volume of the room, and operating a vibrator with a predetermined frequency according to the volume of the room. The method make the humidifier supply a proper amount of atomized water into the room in accordance with the volume of the room, thereby providing an optimum humidity in the room.

  • Patent number: 5693266
Abstract: A humidifier reduces the noise generated by the dropping of water droplets and can also vent bacteria-destroyed mist. An auxiliary water tank is installed under a water supply tank for receiving the water supplied from the water supply tank. An ultrasonic humidifying vessel is connected to the auxiliary water tank. A heating-type humidifying apparatus is provided at the upper portion of the ultrasonic humidifying vessel. A heating coil is wound around a driving pulley of the heating-type humidifying apparatus. First and second idle pulleys are immersed in the water contained in the ultrasonic humidifying vessel. A humidifying endless belt trains around the driving, the first idle, and the second idle pulleys.
