  • Patent number: 4716649
Abstract: A measured-value sensor for an inductive flowmeter comprises a fluid impermeable sintered ceramic measuring tube adapted to be positioned in a conductive-liquid flow path. Magnetic coils surround the tube and are adapted to apply a magnetic field to a conductive liquid traversing the path. A pair of diametrically opposite measuring electrodes contact the liquid traversing the path for tapping an induced voltage across the electrodes representing the flow of the liquid along the path, each of the electrodes having a metallic shaft traversing the tube substantially radially and sealingly sintered to the material of the tube. The ends of the ceramic measuring tube are provided with a flange, ground at its peripheral wall surface and fastened by shrinkage stress in a bore of a steel casing.

  • Patent number: 4715233
Abstract: A sensor for magnetic-inductive flowmeters in defined by a sensing tube (3) disposed in a steel housing (1) and fitted with sensing electrodes (5). Two opposing magnetic coils (6) are mounted to the exterior of the tube. The coils (6) have a bolt-shaped core (7) which have saddle-shaped bases that engage the outer wall of sensing tube (3). A simplified mounting of magnetic coils (6) in steel housing (1) is achieved with flange-like webs (12) mounted adjacent an upper end (11) of coil core (7). The webs are positioned within steel housing (1) by support surfaces (29). A winding bobbin (14) is constructed of two semi-cylindrical halves (15,16) which are disposed about coil core (7) and are locked to each other with a spring catch (22). The coil wire (17) is wound about the bobbin (14) secured to core (7).

  • Patent number: 4454766
Abstract: A measured value recording device for magnetic-inductive flow meters includes a ferromagnetic jacket which snugly encircles an electrically insulating tube piece through which fluid can flow. Measuring electrodes are located in diametrically opposite bores in the tube piece and magnet coils are positioned in diametrically opposite radial recesses in the jacket with their inner ends projecting into holes in the tube piece to releasably lock together the jacket and tube piece.
