    Abstract: A portable electric vehicle charger with adjustable current provides a versatile, safe, and efficient charging solution for electric vehicles. Intermittent current control and protection device (IC-CPD) automatically detect input voltage and adjusts charging currents for both Level 1 (120V) and Level 2 (240V) power sources. Embodiments include interchangeable NEMA plug cables for flexible use, supporting current adjustments from 8 A to 40 A. A temperature sensor may monitor the charging process, reducing current to prevent overheating and automatically resuming once safe conditions are restored. Wi-Fi connectivity provides remotely control and monitor charging via a mobile app.

    Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to determining an elevator car position within an elevator shaft using radar-based distance measurements and a plurality of radar reflectors positioned along the elevator shaft. In one aspect, an example method is provided. The method includes associating a height segment of the elevator shaft with each of the plurality of radar reflectors. The method further includes selecting a target reflector from the plurality of radar reflectors based at least in part on an initial height of the elevator car being within a height segment associated with the target reflector. The method further includes determining an inferred position of the elevator car within the elevator shaft based at least in part on determining a radar-based distance measurement to the target reflector. The radar reflectors may be positioned such that at least one radar reflector is optimally detectable by a dynamically-positioned radar transceiver of the elevator car.

The operation condition may be one of an AC operation condition or DC operation condition. A calculation window may be selected based on the operation condition classification. The plurality of calculation windows may include a first calculation window and a second calculation window. A predicted current value may be generated for the primary current by applying sampled current values within the selected calculation window for each of the at least two plateau periods to a prediction model.

    Abstract: An example apparatus, method, and computer program product for reducing power consumption while maintaining a high accuracy in a sensing device is provided. The example apparatus may include a microcontroller and a sensing device electrically connected to the microcontroller. In an instance in which the microcontroller is enabled, the microcontroller may enable the sensing device and enter a low-power mode for a pre-determined sensor wait time. The microcontroller may further be configured to, upon expiration of the pre-determined sensor wait time, receive electrical data from the sensing device. Further, upon receipt of the electrical data, the microcontroller may disable power to the sensing device. In some embodiments, the apparatus may include a switch electrically connected between the sensing device and a power source, wherein the microcontroller is configured to send an electrical signal to the switch to control an input power to the sensing device.
