    Abstract: A protection circuit suitable for electrical instruments includes a software detecting circuit, a logic AND circuit, a driver and control circuit for engine operating power components, and a hardware detecting circuit connected with the logic AND circuit. Both the software detecting circuit and the hardware detecting circuit monitor the state of an operating switch and provide signals to the logic AND circuit. Only when the state of the switch changes from opened to closed and both detecting circuits determine that this state is correct will the driver and control circuit signal the engine to operate. Furthermore, by connecting two or more power components in serial at the same time, the engine will not work by accident and the machine will not be out of control when any one of the power components is damaged.

    Abstract: A tilt adjusting device for an optical pickup head (OPU) is fixed on a chassis of an optical drive. The device includes a first screw and a secondary guide rail. The secondary guide rail includes a guide rail part, a base part, an extension part, and an elastic element. The guide rail part is embedded into a rail notch of the OPU and the extension part has a first end and a second end connected with the base part and the guide rail part. A first compressible space is defined between the base part, the elastic element and the chassis. The first screw is penetrated through the base part and the first compressible space and screwed in the chassis. By changing a screwed depth of the first screw in a screw hole, an altitude of the guide rail part is correspondingly adjusted.

    Abstract: An electric connector includes a socket and a plug. The socket includes a first insulating block and a first terminal and the first insulating block has a positioning notch and a positioning hole. The plug includes a second insulating block and a second terminal, and the second insulating block has a plug end and a fool-proof block protruded from the plug end and extended towards the socket. The second insulating block includes a positioning hook arm formed on the other opposite side. When the second insulating block is plugged into the first insulating block, the fool-proof block is stopped at the positioning notch, and the positioning hook arm is latched into the positioning hole, such that the first terminals are electrically coupled to the second terminals, so as to assure a proper connection of the electric connectors and prevent damages caused by improper connection of the electric connectors.

The front vehicle will transmit a warning message to the vehicle collision avoidance apparatus disposed on the vehicle when the front vehicle brakes. The vehicle collision avoidance apparatus disposed on the vehicle will send out a warning notification in response to the warning message, and transmit the warning message to the back vehicle. Similarly, the vehicle collision avoidance apparatus can also be disposed on the front vehicle and the back vehicle to execute the same operations.

    Abstract: This invention is concerned with the control and design of a passive or an active LED lighting system that does not need electrolytic capacitors in the entire system and can generate light output with reduced luminous flux fluctuation. By eliminating electrolytic capacitors which have a limited lifetime of typically 15,000 hours, the proposed system can be developed with robust electrical components such as inductor and diode circuits, and it features long lifetime, low maintenance cost, robustness against extreme temperature variations and good power factor.     Abstract: Lightweight reinforced modular tubes of extruded plastic material are provided for the first stage of a trolley-type carry case, in combination with a locking mechanism, which facilitates effective extension and collapse of a multi-telescopic handle system. The tubes are made of extruded plastic material and include a pair of opposed metal strips having appropriately spaced and dimensioned apertures for reception of spring loaded locking pins of the telescopic system. The metal strips are respectively retained in position by a pair of radially extending elongated flange members which overlap marginal positions of the strips. The tubes and the metal strips can easily and quickly be cut to size to fit any size carry case. While the metal insert strips are preferably made of aluminum, any material stronger than the extruded plastic of the first stage tube can be used, i.e., steel, nylon, PVC, polyethylene, polycarbonate, or the like.
