  • Patent number: 12562241
Abstract: A method includes, for each user of a group of users participating in a first clinical study: collecting a plurality of data associated with the user, wherein the plurality of data includes data received from a group of devices used by the user over a duration during the first clinical study; determining a state related to the user based on the plurality of data, wherein the state indicates operating conditions of the group of devices used by the user; determining an event alignment status by aligning events logged by the group of devices based on the state related to the user; and determining an individual compliance score for the user based on the event alignment status. The method also includes providing a recommended duration of the first clinical study based on the individual compliance scores of the group of users.

  • Patent number: 10198147
Abstract: Presenting thumbnails of visual objects using a data processing system includes determining, using a processor, aspect ratios for a plurality of visual objects and associating, using the processor, each of the plurality of visual objects with a thumbnail size selected from a plurality of predetermined thumbnail sizes based upon the aspect ratio of the visual object. A determination is made whether a visual feature is detected within the plurality of visual objects. A layout for displaying thumbnails of the plurality of visual objects is generated using the processor based on chronological order of the visual objects, detection of the visible feature, and the thumbnail sizes associated with the visual objects. Using a screen and the processor, the thumbnails are displayed according to the layout.

  • Patent number: 10140516
Abstract: Managing a plurality of images may include generating, using a processor, clusters of images from a plurality of images having locations and timestamps. The clusters may represent events and may be generated according to a distance metric based upon geographic distance and time difference between consecutive pairs of the plurality of images sorted according to time. Selected clusters may be merged, using the processor, into a merged cluster representing a trip based upon geographic distance between the clusters and unique dates within the clusters. The plurality of images may be displayed, using the processor, organized according to the trip.

  • Patent number: 8422397
Abstract: A gateway device at a user premises edge of a wide area network implements a method for rapidly routing a media session. for an application layer service. The gateway device receivers a request from a first endpoint device to create the media session with a second device. The request includes an application layer identifier for the second device. The method involves accessing a routing table within the gateway device using the application layer identifier and obtaining, from the internal routing table a network layer address for communication with the second device. The gateway device then creates a route for the media session for the application layer service via bi-directional network layer communications through at least one of its interfaces using the network layer address.
