  • Publication number: 20050103184
Abstract: A retaining device includes a top clamping seat having arms divergently extending out of the top clamping seat and each arm provided with a claw adjustably connected to the arm, a bottom seat having linkages pivotally extending upward to pivotally connect to mediate portions of the arms, and an adjusting ring adapted to be threadingly connected to the drum stand to abut a side face of the bottom seat to cause the bottom seat to move. Movement of the bottom seat is able to initiate movement of the top clamping seat and thus the claws are able to clamp a drum seated on the drum stand and the adjustability of the claws relative to the arms allows the retaining device to clamp drums of different sizes.

  • Patent number: 6881884
Abstract: A guitar stand includes a lower bracket formed on a lower part of a body. A tube is mounted at an upper part of the body. A shaft is longitudinally received in the tube and extends in a hollow seat. A handle is formed on the shaft and upright extends through a channel in the shaft. A resilient member is provided outside the shaft. Two levers each have a pivot hole and a slot defined therethrough. A fastener is inserted through the slots to fasten the shaft between the levers. Two pivot pins are respectively inserted in the pivot holes and the seat to pivotally mount the levers in the seat. Two arcuate arms are respectively provided at distal ends of the levers. By pushing the handle along the channel, the arcuate arms can be temporarily opened for clamping a neck of a guitar.

  • Patent number: 6622981
Abstract: A folding arm mounted on a column of a musical instrument stand has a seat mounted on the column. The seat has a ring. A tube is perpendicular to the column and extending outwards from the ring. A passage is longitudinally defined in the tube. A slot is longitudinally defined through a front end of the tube. An elbow has a rear part pivotally mounted in the slot by a pivot pin. Two movable pieces are received in the passage and pushed by the rear part to tightly abut the column when the elbow is perpendicular to the column. A bar is mounted on a front part of the elbow. Whereby, when the elbow is perpendicular to the column, the arm is secured on the column. When the elbow is pivoted to a position parallel to the column, the arm is movable for adjusting the support height of the stand.
