  • Publication number: 20050065001
Abstract: A hollow dumbbell includes right and left shells which are connected to each other through a hollow neck member, and which respectively define two accommodation chambers therein adapted for containing liquid to increase the weight of the dumbbell. The neck member defines a passage therein which extends along a longitudinal axis and which has two ends that are in fluid communication with the accommodation chambers, respectively. An access port is provided to permit access to one of the accommodation chambers and the passage. A plug member is detachably inserted into the access port to close the same. A light-related brightening member is disposed in one of the right and left shells and the neck member.

  • Publication number: 20050065002
Abstract: A hollow dumbbell includes left and right shells which are detachably connected to left and right coupling ends of a neck member. Each shell includes a shell body defining an accommodation chamber therein for containing liquid so as to increase the weight of the dumbbell, and a tubular portion defining an access port that provides access to the accommodation chamber. The access port is closed by the respective coupling end of the neck member. A light-related brightening member is disposed in one of the shells and the neck member for illumination and embellishment.

  • Patent number: 6260284
Abstract: An aligning apparatus includes a carrier moving along a guided straight path for carrying a paperboard stack between a stack aligning position and a stack feeding position. When the carrier is in the stack aligning position, a first electrically driven positioning member is disposed to move a first aligning member to an extended position where a lateral outreach of the stack is set in accordance with the width of the stack. A second aligning member has a second upright flat wall with an abutment surface in a direction transverse to the guided straight path to define a front outreach of the paperboard stack when the carrier is in the stack aligning position. As such, the paperboard stack on the carrier can be aligned and moved directly toward the paperboard processing device thereafter.

  • Patent number: 5423259
Abstract: An apparatus for erasing a plate cylinder of an offset printing press includes a first guide unit which is mounted to the offset printing press apart from the plate cylinder and which extends in an axial direction of the plate cylinder. A mounting unit includes at least two spaced mounting members mounted on the first guide unit, an elongated base plate spanning and fixed to the mounting members, and a sliding-plate assembly mounted longitudinally and movably on a top surface of the base plate for holding an erasing member which is used for erasing impurities on the plate cylinder. A pair of second guide units are mounted respectively and securely to two opposite transverse ends of the elongated base plate for guiding movement of the sliding-plate assembly on the elongated base plate in a direction toward the plate cylinder.
