  • Patent number: 5921299
Abstract: A firewood splitting machine is composed of a support frame, a cutter mounted on one end of the support frame, an oil pressure cylinder mounted on another end of the support frame, and an oil injecting device mounted in the support frame. The oil pressure cylinder consists of a cylindrical body, a piston, a rod member, a subsidiary piston, and a subsidiary rod member. The piston is located in the cylindrical body such that an oil pressure space is formed between the piston and a rear end cover of the cylindrical body. The rod member is fastened at one end thereof with the piston such that another end of the rod member is jutted out of a front end cover of the cylindrical body. A pivoting hole is extended along the direction of the longitudinal axis of the rod member such that the pivoting hole is in communication with the oil pressure space.

  • Patent number: 5205045
Abstract: A tile cutting gauge comprises mainly a semi-circular protractor and a guide rod pivotally fastened to the protractor. A length ruler is slidably mounted on the straight side of the protractor, while a baffle means is slidably mounted to the guide rod in such a manner that it can be moved upward, downward, leftward, and rightward. The desired length and angle of the tile intended to be cut are measured respectively by means of the length ruler and the guide rod. The tile intended to be cut is held securely by the length ruler and a baffle means so as to permit an operator to make a cutting mark on the tile along the guide rod.

  • Patent number: 5191714
Abstract: A protractor has a main body, a frame and an indicating means. The main body comprises a vertically arranged flat board provided with two pressing edges attached integrally and respectively to upper and lower sides thereof and with a slot. Each of the pressing edges has a plane portion facing outwardly. The frame is disposed inside the slot and is provided with two positioning arms and an arcuate portion bridging the two positioning arms and having scales marked thereon. The indicating means has a shaft base mounted on the frame and a pointer mounted pivotally on a shaft mounted on the shaft base. The pointer has one end extending to reach the scales and other end provided with a balancing weight serving to keep the pointer to remain perpendicular to a horizontal surface, against which an object intended to be measured is set, at the time when the plane portion of the main body is placed on the measured surface of the object.

  • Patent number: 5169045
Abstract: A manually-operated tile cutter comprises mainly a base, a measuring piece, and a guiding bar. The base is provided at one end thereof with a stopper consisting of a stopper face perpendicular to the cutting direction and of a guide slot parallel to the stopper face. The measuring piece is composed of a length measuring portion and an angle measuring portion disposed at one end of the length measuring portion. The length measuring portoin is disposed slidably in the guide slot. The guiding bar is pivotally arranged on the angle measuring portion so as to point out on the angle measuring portion the angle formed by the guiding bar and the length measuring portion. The cutter therefore guides and holds the tile intended to be cut in a vertical manner. The guiding bar can be also used to point out the angle and to support the tile when the cutter is doing an angular cutting of the tile.
