    Abstract: A thermochromic ink display comprises a stepped sequence of permanent graphics images each covered with a separate thermochromic ink layer which is opaque at room temperature. The ink layers have different transition temperatures from opaque to transparent to form a stepped time delay sequence that reveals the graphics images as slightly different figures simulating the sequential motion effect of an animation.
