  • Publication number: 20240426718
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a device configured to wet a biological material with at least one liquid, and a disclosed method relates to wetting biological material with at least one liquid using the disclosed device. A disclosed device includes a moving arrangement and a platform configured to receive at least one, substantially triangular or substantially rectangular slide comprising a biological material. The slide is configured to be movable by the moving arrangement from a parallel incubating position, relative to said platform, into a non-parallel collecting position, relative to said platform. Only a single corner section of slide is positioned such that said liquid is collected in the single corner section. Introducing reagents into a mixing zone of said device and repeatedly moving the slide from the collecting position into a mixing position causes mixing of the reagents to thereby generate the liquid that is configured to wet the biological material.

  • Publication number: 20230136781
Abstract: A device for wetting biological material with at least one liquid, comprising at least one retaining device and at least suction device, wherein the retaining device serves to receive a specimen slide in a support plane, wherein the specimen slide carries the biological material, and wherein the suction device serves to suction off liquid from the retaining device, wherein a front side of the suction device does not extend parallel to the support plane. Furthermore, a retaining device for a device for wetting biological material with at least one liquid and a method for wetting biological material with at least one liquid are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7977086
Abstract: A platform for a devise for wetting objects, especially for an incubation/hybridization chamber is defined by an object support. The platform is arranged at a distance to the object support. The platform comprises a base provided with a least one spacer and a frame carrying the base. The inventive platform is characterized in that the base is moveably mounted relative to the frame by a bearing device. In a first function position, the bearing device maintains the base such that the base projects from the frame and/or the bearing device. In a second functional position, the base projects in some areas beyond an imaginary plane in which the surface of the base is disposed.

  • Publication number: 20070243603
Abstract: The invention relates to a platform (1) for a device for wetting objects, especially for an incubation/hybridization chamber that is defined by an object support (57) and the platform (1) arranged at a distance to said object support (57). Said platform comprises a base (3) provided with at least one spacer (7) and a frame (27) carrying said base. The inventive platform is characterized in that the base (3) is movably mounted relative to the frame (27) by means of a bearing device (23). Said bearing device (23), in a first functional position, maintains the base (3) in such a manner that it projects from the frame (27) and/or the bearing device (23), and in a second functional position it projects in some areas beyond an imaginary plane (E) in which the surface (5) of the base is disposed.
