  • Publication number: 20240131807
Abstract: A discrete segmented pre-preg ply is provided along with a method for manufacturing same, a discrete segmented multilayer pad manufactured by stacking discrete segmented pre-preg plies and a method for manufacturing composite parts from discrete segmented multilayer pads. The discrete segmented pre-preg ply includes a discrete segmented pre-preg layer 3ds having a thickness and including unidirectional fibres arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction (D), the fibres being embedded in a resin matrix, and a discrete anti-adhesive liner 2d applied to one face of the discrete segmented pre-preg layer 3ds. Only the discrete segmented layer 3ds includes segments which are cut along its entire thickness and arranged in staggered rows.

  • Patent number: 11362415
Abstract: The described features include a scalable waveguide architecture for a waveguide device. The waveguide device may be split into one or more waveguide blocks instead of manufacturing increasingly larger single-piece waveguide devices. Described techniques provide for a radio-frequency (RF) seal between such waveguide blocks that may facilitate greater manufacturing tolerances while maintaining an effective RF seal at the junction of the waveguide blocks. The described techniques include channels within one or more waveguide blocks opening to the dielectric gap between the waveguide blocks. The channels may, for each of multiple waveguides joined at the interface between waveguide blocks, be included in one or both waveguide blocks and may be in a single waveguide dimension relative to the multiple waveguides, or extend for more than one waveguide dimensions.

  • Patent number: 7248852
Abstract: In a system, called an application manager, portable devices can be connected in various kinds of local area networks (LANs). In the portable devices, local browsers are run to find services by listening in the local area network to messages broadcast from a local information server through some base unit. The local information server registers local services and provides, on automatic requests from the local browsers, address information of the local services. The address information is used by a local browser to obtain, through the Internet, general information of the services from an HTTP server, that contains information of applications, such as graphical information including icon files and short descriptions of the applications. After receiving the general information symbols of available services, it is then shown on the display of the portable device.

  • Patent number: 7013152
Abstract: In a network including access points, via which communication units can connect to the network, wherein each of the access points belongs to a zone, a method comprising the steps of assigning a message type to each of the zones in the network; receiving from the communication unit a query message for each zone, where the query message for each zone is of the message type assigned to that zone; filtering the query messages at an access point, via which the communication unit is connected to the network, so that only the query message of the message type, which is assigned to the zone to which the access point belongs, is allowed to pass through; and determining the zone, to which the access point belongs, depending on the query message allowed to pass through in the step of filtering.

  • Publication number: 20040171379
Abstract: In a system, called an application meneger, portable devices (1) can be connected in various kinds of local area networks (LANs). In the portable devices local browsers are run to find services by listening in the local area network to messages broadcast from a local information server (5) through some base unit (3). The local information server registers local services and provides, on automatic requests from the local browsers, address information of the local services. The address information is used by a local browser to obtain, through the Internet, general information of the services from an HTTP server (9), that contains information of applications, such as graphical information including icon files and short descriptions of the applications. After receiving the general information symbols of available services are shown on the display of the portable device.

  • Patent number: 6327998
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the education of behavior to an animal held on a leash. A leash (14, 16, 18) is employed for a positive holding of the animal carrying a collar (16) or a harness, wherein the leash is composed of a handle (18) constructed to be held by a user, and of a cord (14) mechanically connected to the handle (18) and the harness (16). The device comprises in addition a disciplining and sanctioning feature of the type creating a moderate disturbance, which moderate disturbance is perceived by the animal and ordering member for putting the sanctioning means into action. The sanctioning means are of the type of projecting a fluid, wherein the device comprises a reservoir container of fluid (2) under pressure, a valve (4) for releasing the fluid outside of said reserve container, a nozzle (6) projecting the released fluid and a member of ordering (8) of the opening of the valve.

  • Patent number: 6158392
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for prohibiting the crossing of a zone boundary by an animal (2,4). This device comprises interactive means (12, 14) for locating the animal (2, 4) with respect to a control station (8), means for sanctioning (16) the use of which is dependent on means (66, 50, 52, 54) for processing and analyzing data supplied by said locating means (12, 140. The sanctioning means (16) are means for fogging a fluid, comprising an electrovalve; the actuating of the electrovalve varies in frequency, in duration and in delivery according to the distance separating the animal from the control station and the duration of the presence of the animal in the zone to be protected.
