  • Publication number: 20230379276
Abstract: A system and method for managing third-party electronic messages for an organization having a regulatory requirement to retain business-related electronic messages is disclosed. For a user account for a user associated with the organization, a message space accessible through electronic devices is defined, the space accommodating peer-to-peer administration and providing facilities for identifying an owner for the space, retaining messages based on the organization's retention parameters, and creating a message channel in the space for messages between users in the organization and additional organizations. A third-party communication system may be accessed by the user by creating a third-party user account for the third-party communication system. For a validated the third-party user account, a third-party communication system message sent between the user and an external user of the third-party communication system can be processed.

  • Patent number: 9549368
Abstract: A method of managing a data connection between a user device and a network of content caches, the user device and content caches being connectable via a network of gateway servers. The method comprising: in response to a request for content data issued by the user device, receiving content location data stored within at least one content cache from a content locator unit; determining which one of the caches is the closest to the user device; determining whether the packet data connection could be better served using a different gateway server; and if it is determined that a different gateway server should be used, causing the current data connection to move from the current gateway server to the different gateway server.

  • Patent number: 8893246
Abstract: Rogue or malicious access points pose a threat to wireless networks (32) and the users of these networks. In order to prevent or reduce this threat a method and system is proposed that verifies that an access point (31) is genuine and not rogue before setting up a connection between the access point and a wireless device (34). The authentication is based on comparing an identifier of the wireless device (34) obtained from an authentication server (33, 35) in the wired network to an identifier of a wireless device obtained directly from the wireless device. A comparator (39) in an information server (36) receives the two sets of data and compares the two identifiers and if they match the access point is verified as genuine.
