  • Patent number: 8290459
Abstract: Method and device for detecting a target spectrum and its frequency location in a scenario contaminated with strong jammers on other interferers. The detection is based on the geodesic distance between the correlation matrix (RD) of the received signal and the correlation matrix (RT) of the target spectrum (TS) which is assumed known in shape and bandwidth. The detection happens when the threshold (Formula (I)) is overcome. The frequency location is based on the minimization of the mean square error between RD and RT.

  • Publication number: 20120131476
Abstract: A system for performing remote usability testing of a website includes a module for generating particular tasks, a module for moderating a session with a number of participants, and a module for receiving usability data. The system further includes a analytics module for analyzing the received usability data. The module for generating the particular tasks includes a research server configured to interface with user experience researchers and storing multiple testing modules for selecting qualified participants from the number of participants and for generating the particular tasks having research metrics associated with a target web site. In an embodiment, the research server randomly assigns one or more of the multiple testing modules to one of the participants. The multiple testing modules may include card sorting studies for optimizing a web site's architecture or layout.

  • Patent number: 7982670
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for determining the direction of arrival of one or multiple radio or acoustic waves and, more particularly, to such a method and system especially advantageous in situations where the number of available observations is small and/or the available observations are received with low power. The method significantly improves the performance of traditional subspace signal processing algorithms in the low sample size regime. The algorithm is specifically designed to provide consistent estimates even when the observation dimension has the same order of magnitude as the number of observations. This guarantees a good behavior in finite sample size situations, where the number of sensors or antennae and the number of samples have the same order of magnitude or in scenarios where the received signal power is not sufficiently high to guarantee detection via conventional one-dimensional search methods.
