  • Publication number: 20240069219
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring the dose delivered through a radiosensitive film under exposure to ionizing radiations, to a system comprising such device and to the use of such device. More particularly, the device comprises a reflection film; at least one light source; a radiosensitive film; and an optical sensor system comprising a 2-D array of one or more photoresistor units and/or semiconductor units. The present invention also relates to a system comprising the device previously described; a readout integrated circuit unit connected to the optical sensor system of the device; and a processing unit connected to the readout integrated circuit. The present invention also relates to the use of a device as previously described.

  • Publication number: 20200030799
Abstract: A microfluidics valve comprises at least two substrates (1) between which there is at least a microchannel (5). It additionally comprises at least a barrier (4) of a meltable material, placed in the microchannel. The valve further comprises at least an optical heater (6) placed in correspondence with the barrier (4) and at least a section of one of the substrates (1), in correspondence with the optical heater (6), is transparent. The optical heater is a colored line that, when is illuminated with a light source, is heated and releases the heat to the barrier (4) thus melting the part of it that is closer to the line.

  • Publication number: 20110129814
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and system for detecting and/or quantifying bacteriophages capable of infecting a predetermined bacterial host strain, which is based on the surface plasmon resonance technique that takes place on the conductive material surface of an optical sensor device, and also relates to a microelectronic sensor device for carrying out this process and to the use of this microelectronic sensor device for detecting and/or quantifying bacteriophages.

  • Publication number: 20110053144
Abstract: The process, system and device being claimed are based on the measurement of the changes in impedance produced in the interface of an electrode whereonto bacteria from a host strain have been previously adhered for detecting the desired bacteriophage. The changes produced in said electrode-bacteria interface originate in the phagic action of the bacteriophages on the bacteria adhered onto the surface of the work electrode of a microelectronic sensor device.

  • Publication number: 20110035157
Abstract: The invention relates to devices and methods for measuring a concentration of a biomass suspended in a medium. Embodiments of the device include a substrate capable of being immersed in the medium, at least two electrodes integrated in the substrate, and a processing and control circuit electromagnetically coupled to the at least two electrodes. The processing and control circuit is configured to apply an electrical potential to the at least two electrodes, the applied electrical potential generating a stationary electric charge that leads to the appearance of an electrical double layer on a surface of one of the at least two electrodes and that causes a biomass electrostatic adhesion on the surface, measure a change in capacitance of the electrical double layer in response to the biomass electrostatic adhesion, and determine the concentration of the biomass using a calibration curve that correlates the change in capacitance with the concentration.
