  • Patent number: 7843971
Abstract: A modular expandable telecommunication system having a main cabinet and at least one expansion cabinet that are interconnected with each other to obtain an extended telecommunication system with increased connection possibilities for extensions and trunks. The main cabinet and each expansion cabinet have a transmission interface unit allowing connection of the expansion cabinet(s) to the main cabinet via a single transmission link conveying voice/data channels and low level signaling for mutual synchronization and clock recovery for all interconnected cabinets. The main cabinet has a master clock device, a CPU for running software applications and a DSP for routing the higher level messages issued by the CPU depending on the physical location of the expansion cabinet.

  • Publication number: 20070162963
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and a login server for providing a user with a centralised login procedure. A user has registered in a login server two or more devices he is associated with. The user performs a first login procedure on a first device of the two or more devices. Login data representative of the first login are sent from the first device to the login server. The login server verifies the login data for authentication of the user for the first device. After authentication of the user by the login server, the login server accesses credentials associated with the user for the first device and sends said credentials to the first device to unlock the first device for the user. Further, the login server accesses credentials associated with the user for another device of the two or more devices and sends said credentials to said other device. The sent credentials are used to unlock said other device for the user.

  • Publication number: 20030140162
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for treating or handling, at the receiving side, packets of data transmitted with variable delays through a network using Internet Protocol. A method is disclosed, where one calculates repetitively an acceptable delay range from an average value of several delays determined for several packets at their arrival time and by applying Gaussian law properties to said average value, and accepts only packets of data which are received with a delay within said range.

  • Publication number: 20020044571
Abstract: The present invention concerns a modular expandable telecommunication system, such as a private automatic branch exchange system (PABX), comprising a main cabinet and at least one expansion cabinet, which are interconnected with each other in order to obtain an extended telecommunication system with increased connection possibilities for extensions and trunks. System characterized in that the main cabinet and each of the expansion cabinet comprise a transmission interface unit allowing connection of the said expansion cabinet(s) with said main cabinet via a single transmission link conveying voice/data channels and low level or local signaling for performing at least mutual synchronization and clock recovery for all interconnected cabinets, the main cabinet comprising in particular a master clock device, a CPU for running the application and a DSP for routing the higher level messages issued by the CPU depending on the physical location of the destination cabinet.

  • Publication number: 20010055374
Abstract: Detection by a PBX of an incoming call started by a modem The basic idea of the present invention consists of taking advantage of the compatibility of almost every modem to a specific protocol called AT or Hayes commands. According to the present invention, the AT-commands will be used to generate a code specifying that the far end telecommunications device which just dialed is a modem. Therefore, when the dialed telecommunications device is connected to a PBX, latter will have to recognize said code after which it will transfer automatically that call to this telecommunications device identified by the dialed extension phone number and being a modem. Then a telecommunications connection between both modem will be set up. Advantageously, it is then possible by using present invention to connect several different telecommunications devices on a PBX, all being identified by the same extension phone number like a telephone, a FAX and a modem.

  • Patent number: 5060241
Abstract: A synchronizing system for a private digital exchange (1) comprising a logic control unit (4) and specialized interfaces (9, 8) whereby the exchange is connected firstly to a plurality of subscriber terminals (2) via SO accesses, and secondly to a telecommunications network (3) via TO base accesses. The exchange includes a time base (6) which associates a fixed frequency local oscillator (7) with a phase locked loop (32). The system includes clock switching means suitable for imposing the first clock signals to come from the network (3) via an active one of the TO base accesses and the associated interface (8) on the phase locked loop (32) of the time base (6) as soon as said first clock signals come close in phase to the substitute clock signals provided by the time base (6) in the absence of said first signals from the network.
