  • Patent number: 11930388
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable mesh network capacity management via network metering using a processor an integrated roofing mesh network node in a mesh network to receive and transmit data packets in the mesh network. Each data packet includes a source address, a destination address, and a payload of data. The processor determines passthrough traffic including a subset of data packets routed between radio nodes of the mesh network through the gateway based on the source address and the destination address of each data packet and an address associated with the gateway. The processor determines a passthrough data capacity based on the payload of each data packet in the subset and determines a metric based on the passthrough data capacity to signify an amount of mesh network bandwidth provided by the integrated roofing mesh network node.

  • Patent number: 11905710
Abstract: At least some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a roofing accessory that includes a radiofrequency radiation shielding non-woven fiber composite material. The radiofrequency shielding non-woven fiber composite material includes a first fiber type that includes a conductive material, where the radiofrequency shielding non-woven fiber composite material has a sufficient amount of the first fiber type so as to result, when the radiofrequency shielding non-woven fiber composite material is positioned on a roof structure, in the radiofrequency shielding non-woven fiber composite material allowing for shielding a predetermined percentage of electromagnetic radiation passing through the roof structure. The radiofrequency shielding non-woven fiber composite material includes a second fiber type that includes a non-conductive material. The first fiber type and the second fiber type are randomly dispersed within the radiofrequency shielding non-woven fiber composite.

  • Publication number: 20240039263
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable modulate electronic communication between devices interior to and external to a structure via a ridge vent. A ridge vent covers a ridge slot in a roof of the structure to provide ventilation. A housing having a length, a width and a height that are sized to fit through a ridge slot of the roof includes a top a top portion proximal to the ridge vent, a bottom portion proximal to the interior of the structure and opposite to the top portion, and at least one wall extending between the top portion and the bottom portion. A securing mechanism is connected to the top portion of the housing to secure the housing within the ridge slot. An electronics bus is positioned within the housing and has an interface that enables operation of modular electronic devices that are removably positioned within the housing.

  • Publication number: 20230208024
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure include controlling directions of communications including a processor to obtain performance data of an integrated roofing accessory installed on a roof, the integrated roofing accessory including an antenna and a transceiver to enable fifth generation cellular networking (5G) protocol communication with a 5G-enabled device, and an adjustable attachment to orient or position the antenna. The performance data is indicative of 5G signal performance between the integrated roofing accessory and the 5G-enabled device. A signal performance affecting condition is determined using the performance data, where the signal performance affecting condition is a reduced signal performance of a 5G signal beam of the antenna. An improved orientation or an improved position of the antenna is determined to remedy the signal performance affecting condition.

  • Publication number: 20220360843
Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to audio and video synchronization. According to one aspect disclosed herein, an audio-video (“AV”) synchronization system can simultaneously capture samples of a pre-encode media stream and a post-encode media stream. The pre-encode media stream can include AV content prior to being encoded. The post-encode media stream can include the AV content after being encoded. The AV synchronization system can align a pre-encode video component of the pre-encode media stream with a post-encode video component and can determine a video offset therebetween. The AV synchronization system can align a pre-encode audio component of the pre-encode media stream with a post-encode audio component of the post-encode media stream and can determine an audio offset therebetween. The AV synchronization system can then compare the video offset and the audio offset to determine if the post-encode media stream is synchronized with the pre-encode media stream.

  • Patent number: 11444368
Abstract: In some embodiments, systems and methods are configured to determine that a signal strength of a fifth generation cellular networking (5G) protocol communication is below a threshold strength value. The 5G protocol communication includes a millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency transmission between a computing device and a first integrated roofing accessory of a first roof. It is determined that a second integrated roofing accessory of a second roof would have an improved signal strength is indicative of a better line of sight to the computing device, and the first integrated roofing accessory and the second integrated roofing accessory are part of a 5G network. At least one of transferring the 5G protocol communication to the second integrated roofing accessory from the first integrated roofing accessory of the first roof, or including the second integrated roofing accessory into the 5G protocol communication with the computing device is performed.
