  • Patent number: 9862129
Abstract: A method for making an oscillating weight for an automatic winding mechanism of a self-winding watch including a central part made from a first composite material and a heavy sector made from a second composite material charged with heavy metal particles, the method including: forming the central part with a lateral rib and a rebate by injecting the first composite material into a mold; overmolding the heavy sector onto the central part by injecting the second composite material into a mold containing the central part, so that the second composite material fills the rebate and a gap underneath the lateral rib, so that the lateral rib is embedded in the second composite material and the central part and the heavy sector are interlocked.

  • Patent number: 9533438
Abstract: Method for forming a transparent timepiece component including top and bottom surfaces: a transparent polymerizable material is chosen; there is applied to a plate a flexible female mold including a capillary network and having a contact surface which is the negative of the bottom surface, bordered by an edge; a cavity is delimited by the sealed juxtaposition of the edge with a plate having a contact surface which is the negative of the top surface; the material is injected through the capillary network to fill the cavity; the material is polymerized to obtain a rigid component; the component is removed from the plates by the deformation of this flexible mold. Hardness is improved by the UV exposition of this component.

  • Patent number: 9004749
Abstract: The oscillating weight for a self-winding watch mechanism is made by molding a plastic material charged with heavy metal particles. Moreover, the plastic material is also charged with fibers, wherein said fibers form between 1.5% and 7% of the total weight of the charged plastic material, and the density of the charged plastic material is greater than 8.

  • Publication number: 20140328149
Abstract: Timepiece wheel (1) overmoulded onto an arbour (2). The wheel is plastic injection overmoulded onto a washer (3) fitted onto said arbour (2). Said washer (3) is of lower density than that of said arbour (2). Said washer (3) includes at least one plane surface (4) forming a bearing and sealing surface (40) for cooperating in a sealed manner with an injection mould for the overmoulding operation. A particular version is an escape wheel whose teeth are formed during overmoulding onto said arbour (2) and said washer (3), and it includes an escape pinion (5) mounted in abutment on said washer (3) or integral with said washer (3).
