  • Patent number: 7375922
Abstract: A mounting apparatus for securing a data storage device (10) defining a number of fixing apertures (101) includes a bracket assembly (20), and a number of resilient gaskets (30). The bracket assembly comprises a first bracket (210), and a second bracket (220). The first bracket comprises a bottom panel (211), and a side panel (212). The second bracket includes a vertical plate (222) secured to the bottom panel of the first bracket. A number of positioning strips (204) some with a tab (206) extend perpendicularly from the bracket assembly to position the resilient gaskets respectively. The vertical plate is resiliently and outwardly moved to sandwich the data storage device in the bracket assembly. The data storage device is secured with the tabs engaging with the fixing apertures thereof.

  • Patent number: 6969131
Abstract: A computer enclosure includes a chassis (10) having bottom, side and rear panels (20, 30, 40), and first and second mounting brackets (50, 60) attached to the chassis. The bottom panel forms a rib (21). The rear panel defines a horizontal opening (42) and an engaging portion (44). Latch slots (32) are defined in the side panel. The first mounting bracket includes a vertical expansion slot (53), a bent plate (54) and a blocking tab (55). The second mounting bracket includes: a top plate (61) having latches (612) engaging in the latch slots, and catches (613) sandwiching a top edge portion of the rear panel; and a rear plate (62) having horizontal expansion slots (621), a hook (622) slidably engaging with the bent plate, a stop plate (626) abutting against the engaging portion, a stop portion (625) abutting against the rib, and a projection (624) engaging with the blocking tab.

  • Patent number: 6956737
Abstract: A disk drive mounting assembly includes a chassis (16), a first receiving cage (20), a mounting bracket (50) and a second receiving cage (60). The disk drive (10) comprises two pairs of sliding posts (12). The first cage for receiving the disk drive is generally U-shaped and has two side walls (23, 24). Each side wall defines a pair of slots (26, 32) for accommodating the sliding posts of the disk drive. The mounting bracket (50) pivotably attached to the first cage includes a pressing body (52) and a pair of fixing arms (54) depending from the pressing body. Each fixing arm defines a fixing cutout (56) for restraining the sliding posts. The second cage is attached to the chassis on the mounting bracket to prevent the disk drive from moving in vertical directions.
