More particularly, the present invention relates to a technology of performing monitoring on demand for a complex IT system. According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of system monitoring that includes: monitoring a performance parameter of a client of the system, determining, based on the performance parameter of the client, whether to monitor a service endpoint directly called by the client, locating the service endpoint to be monitored in response to a determination to monitor the service endpoint directly called by the client, and monitoring a performance parameter of the service endpoint.

Among them, the variable-area capacitor structure comprises of a movable and a fixed electrodes in each capacitor unit; a front surface of aforesaid movable electrode is parallel to that of aforesaid fixed electrode; the front surface of aforesaid movable electrode is in a rectangular shape, and the front surface of the fixed electrode is in a triangular or sawteeth shape or the front surface of the movable electrode is in a triangular or sawteeth shape, and the front surface of the fixed electrode is in a rectangular form; the triangular front surface is only overlapped with one long side of aforesaid rectangular front surface. Micromechanical sensors with variable-area capacitor structures of the invention can adjust elasticity coefficient as compared with present technology.

Abstract: A mechanism is provided for dynamically controlling the process of an electronic meeting that includes at least two sub-meetings. A monitoring module monitors the occurrence of a trigger event for triggering switching between different sub-meetings in the process of the electronic meeting. A control module breaks the connection between the attendees of the current sub-meeting and the meeting resources defined in the main meeting room of the electronic meeting in response to monitoring the occurrence of the trigger event by the monitoring module. The control module determines the next sub-meeting of the electronic meeting and its attendees according to the meeting agenda, that specifies the sequence of the sub-meetings constituting the meeting and at least one attendee of each sub-meeting. The control module establishes a connection between the attendees of the next sub-meeting and the meeting resources defined in the main meeting room of the electronic meeting.

Abstract: A system is responsive to voice commands and requests from a user to access and search distributed data resources. The system may include a speech recognition engine configured to receive a spoken command from the user. A processor is configured to identify a service requested by the user from the spoken command. A search engine is configured to associate the user with other services providing offerings available to the user. A speech synthesizer provides an output to the user that conveys the requested information. The processor may be configured to respond to a spoken selection made by the user to selectively provide the requested information and the offerings to the user. The speech synthesizer is responsive to the processor for converting the information retrieved from the selected service in a format that is audible to the user.

Abstract: The present invention provides a software development method, system and computer program product. Generally, a computer program product for software development assistance includes a computer readable storage medium having computer readable program code embodied therewith such that the computer readable program receives from a server over a computer communications network both a software update for software installed in an end user device, and also test cases and a testing tool. The test cases are loaded in memory of the end user device and executed in the end user device with the execution tool with respect to the software update. Execution information produced by the execution of the test cases is collected and transmitted back to the server from the end user device. Optionally, a new test case for the software update can be created within the memory of the end user device the new test case can be executed along with the received test cases with the execution tool in the end user device.

The invention also provides antibodies that immunospecifically bind to HAI-TMIP variant 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 or a complex comprising such a variant, and uses of such antibodies. The present invention provides peptides which may be used as immunogens to distinguish between the HAI-TMIP variants. Abstract: A method for processing a subtitle data stream of a video program includes: receiving the subtitle data stream, wherein subtitle data carried by the subtitle data stream is originally stored with an image format; performing optical character recognition (OCR) on the subtitle data carried by the subtitle data stream in order to derive a subtitle text stream; and processing the subtitle text stream to generate a processed subtitle image, and tagging the processed subtitle image onto an image of the video program. An associated video display system including a demultiplexer and a processing module is also provided.

Outbound telephonic notifications are sent based on user responses during the product registration. The notification can be a product recall alert, information about a complementary product and/or new feature the user showed interest in, and/or an option to extend warranty coverage. The system can transfer the user to a live agent when the user requests more information.

Abstract: A notification system and an automated product registration system are disclosed. The notification system may contact multiple persons simultaneously and use text-to-speech to speak a message to each person over the phone. The notification system may first determine whether a live person has answered the phone before speaking the message. The notification system may be used in conjunction with an automated voice-activated product registration system.

Abstract: Metal-metal or metal-ceramic/carbide composite materials are fabricated by combination of powder injection molding and infiltration. This is achieved by first forming a composite system having a matrix component and an infiltrant layer. The matrix component is formed from a metal or ceramic/carbide powder, that is of a higher melting point, admixed with a first binder. The infiltrant layer is formed from a metal powder, that is of a lower melting point, admixed with a second binder. The first and second binders are subsequently removed from the composite system during a debinding process. The composite system is then heated in a sintering furnace to coalesce the matrix component into a matrix phase having a network of interconnected pores, and to effect infiltration of the infiltrant layer into these pores to form the composite material of the present invention.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of a system, method and computer program product for interactive voice notification is disclosed. The method for notifying a user of an event can include the steps of: receiving user input on notification criteria; listening for an event; detecting the event; calling the user by telephone when the detected event matches the notification criteria; requesting a user response indicating a live person answered the telephone; receiving the user response indicating the live person answered the telephone; and providing the user with information about the event. In one embodiment, the method can further include: requesting a user authentication; determining if the user authentication is valid; and not providing the user with the information about the even if the authentication is not valid. In another exemplary embodiment, the method can further include: storing the detected event in a database; and querying the database for events matching the notification criteria.

Abstract: A scan-print device is hand-held and is scanned over the surface of a paper-like rewritable sheet. The sheet has a colorant responsive to a linear array of pixel-sized electric fields written over the sheet by the scan-print device during each scan, producing a bistable pixel (e.g., black or white) in response to field polarity. The bi-stable, rewritable colorant is highly energy efficient, requiring energy only to change an image, not to hold or illuminate it. Once a series of scans sufficient to cover the entire sheet has been made, the printed image appears as if printed conventionally. The print remains stable until reprinted or intentionally erased. Combined with hand-held scanner-copier technology, a portable copier is also implemented.
